We opted for the upper river tour which was supposed to have a bit more rapids to them. Our son is 5 !1/2 and I hooked his tube to mine with the cable they give you. I'm so glad we picked this one as it was a bit shorter, I think 1 1/2 hrs and honestly hitting the rapids was... More

Two couples in our early 50's. We stayed at the Riverstone Inn at Jack's Shack. The first few days we watched the rafters drift by on the river right outside our cabin. The third day we decided to do it ourselves. It was a beautiful hot sunny July day and we enjoyed the lazy river very much. I highly recommend... More

We visited the River Rat in June 2014 and absolutely LOVED it! It was an inexpensive day and we had a wonderful time floating down the river! It was the highlight of our trip! We wanted to come back in June of 2015 to do the upper float, but the water levels were relatively low, so we didn't. This is... More

very good tubing. the water levels were very low due to lack of rain. it's very hard to navigate the rocks when the water is so low and it was annoying. but that was not their fault. the facility was clean and the staff was nice.

There are a few tubing companies on the same stretch of river. Some advetis3 being cheapest but you get what you pay for. River rats is clean, organized, and professional. The staff was very polite. The facility, equipment and shuttle bus were were all like new. The river was low that day due to a spell with no and they... More

We came to tube and were told right away there was very low water conditions and that we would have to walk some along slippery rocks. Stephanie was very upfront about the poor condition but we decided to try it anyway. They were really nice and the equipment was in excellent condition but as explained there was hardly any water... We've never been tubing before so this was year we vowed to take the plunge. River Rat is clean with helpful staff and expansive parking, plus there are placed to change in to / out of swimwear for the trip. Once we paid, we gave our vehicle keys to the front desk for safe keeping, selected our tubes, and launched... More

This is without doubt the best of all the tubing outlets in Townsend. The staff are friendly and helpful, the equipment is all pristine, and the return shuttle is very efficient.

It was OK. ...wouldn't do again. If your over 200lbs you get stuck on the rapids....3hrs is just way to long and the rope to jump into the water or off the rocks were closed Better things to do when visiting
