We were staying right next door to River Rat at Big Meadow Campground. We purchased a combo package with USA Raft and got our tube rental for 5 bucks! What a fun time we had. We spent about 4 hours (two trips) floating down the Little River. We can't wait to do it again!

Family of Four had a blast! The river was a little low, but that didn't stop the fun! The staff was excellent and the value was great! We will definitely be back!

Clean and friendly. They have a rack to put your keys (free) so you can lock things in your car and not worry about keys getting wet. When you walk in the store you will see then selling "pushing sticks" - this is WORTH the $6 they charge. Buy one or two and keep them forever. My biggest regret was... More

This is how we decided to spend our anniversary. I was a little nervous at first because it's bigger than the rivers we kayak on at home but once we got on the river it was smooth sailing. The negative posts about people hurting their feet or butts, they tell you to bring shoes and when we came to rocks... More

I tubed the "upper" location of the River Rat with my 14 and 11 year old kids. The water was amazing. We considered tubing yesterday because we knew it had rained in the area so the water would be up. We were kindly notified that the fast water flow may be unsafe for children, so we decided to wait a... More

While visiting Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area, my family(consisting of two adults and two children ages 5 and 8) was looking for some fun outdoor activity, so the ads for river "tubing" at River Rat in nearby Townsend, TN sounded like the perfect mix of relaxation and fun. Prior to going, I called to find out pertinent information and was told that... More

Ok - please take what I'm writing and checking it out BEFORE you touch your toes in that river with a tub. Ok the only reason I'm writing this is 10000% because of the pain I'm experiencing 12 hours later. The tubing company is top notch in all accepts of that type of business. But they really should not let... More

This was the second time my family have floated this part of the river and with the same company. The tubes are high quality, the entrance and exit points are easy access. With the water low, please plan on an additional 30-60 mins to complete the float. Also, water shoes are a good idea, some of the stones are quite... More

This would have been a great experience had it not been our first time and not known some key things. First, if they tell you the water levels are low then don't go!!!! They told us we might have to get out and walk 'a little'. Wrong - anytime there were any rocks or rapids we were stuck. Anyone who... More

They have two locations…the lower half of the river I would take smaller children and the upper half of the river location is for teens and adults, in my opinion, and there is also an ice-cream shack next door if your hungry afterwards. This facility is better maintained than River Rage (green floats)…I can't say to date about the other... More
