River Rat is an excellent family experience. The important thing to realize is that the attraction is to tube a natural, unpredictable river. This is not a lazy river ride at a waterpark. You may have to get out of your tube and walk through shallow spots. You may get bumped against some rocks. Overall, you will have an awesome... More

The river water was low when we went, but that did not spoil our fun. It took a couple of hours to complete. We rode the upper river. We could go as many times as we wanted which made this a great value.

The water level was very low, but we found that we only had to do minimal walking and my group had a great time. Very relaxing. Only a handful of our large family group decided to do this trip, and we would have tried to get a bigger group together if we had known how much fun it was.

The staff was very friendly, we arrived about 40 minutes after opening because there was rain in the forecast. I was going to go with another company however I couldn't find out whether the others had the solid tubes. My kids are still the size of kids and a hole in the tube is not the best thing for short... My family and I went tubing on 6/28/15. We got lucky the water level was average and didn't get stuck more than once. We went down the river twice. It took about 2 hours each round. About half way down the river there's a rock you can jump off into the water. That was fun. My family did not hit... More

My family and I tried this a few days ago and had a blast. Everyone gets their own inter tube and goes down a beautiful lazy river. My niece and nephew, 4 and 2, loved it and were safe because you can tether their tubes to an adult's. The only warning I would mention is not to go if the... More

Water level was low and they said that some walking was involved. They did not tell us that any normal sized adult would be walking MORE then floating - and on slippery rocks in the middle of the river. I came out of this trip with black and blue knees and a broken toe from falling so much. They could... More

It is unfortunate that you did not enjoy your trip with us. We strive for everyone to enjoy their trip. I am happy to hear that you were informed of the water conditions as that is an important part of our service. We also have 4 signs that are up at the check in showing water levels, "high", "average", "low","very... More

Call first and ask about the water level. When we got there, we saw a sign at the register indicating that the water level was "Very Low." The nice cashier also warned us that the level was very low and that we might have to walk our tube in parts. The staff is friendly, the tubes were clean and sturdy,... More

What a great time! Smokey Mountain River Rat is the best down here. Staff is very friendly. Changing rooms were very clean. I'm not sure why people are leaving negative comments about the water level. There is a LARGE sign in the check in/out building that states the water level is low. Besides it's not their fault. The river is... More
