I took my granddaughter here for her first non-assisted ride. At first she was intimidated by the wet conditions, but she adjusted quickly and she is hooked. Our guide spent some time with her to reassure her and gave her lessons on prodding. She loved that they had me ride a mule named "Tater". I said just call me Festus.

This was an interesting set up for a horseback ride. The newly set up ziplines angle overhead for most of the ride and you hear screams and zipping for most of the trip. The staff was very friendly and the horses seemed in great condition and had good temperment. Our 8 yo was able to ride by herself which was... More

We had a great time at Five Oaks Riding Stables. Our group consisted of myself, my 19 year old son, my 19 year old nephew and his girlfriend (and 5 other people we didn't know). I couldn't have been happier with the guides Brad & Travis. They were extremely nice and helpful to all of us. All nine people in... More

Negative stars. There is something not right at all about this place. There are a ton of horses all crowded into one area and drinking out of the same trough. They were filthy and looked as if they hadn't been groomed in weeks. There was no indication they had stalls to sleep in. Although no one was riding yet, multiple... More

sliding down mudding hill with my five year old son. Horses biting kicking. Put some one on a horse they had for 3 days! I have had horses my whole life and this is not safe for beginners period!!! People unable to stop their horses, that should not be a trail horse that is a horse not broke very well.... More

Lack of concern for their animals' welfare and for the law in regards to gender discrimination. There was no hay, pasture, or shelter for the horses exposed to the frigid weather. I do not recommend them.

had not been horse back riding in a long time - it was okay, but wish we could find a place where the horses just didn't walk along like you didn't even need to guide them - don't know if there is a place like that in the mountains???

We went to zip line & horseback ride with my 14, 6, and 4 year old kids. This was the only place that would allow the 4 & 6 year olds to participate (with a parent). The trails were very wet & muddy when we arrived so they weren't allowing people to ride double, which meant no-go for my 4... More

This was our first official family horse back ride and it was fun, we were match up with the right horse and our guides were great. My girls are looking forward to another ride in the future......

We didn't enjoy our ride. The trails were real muddy I guess they never dried from the rains the week before. I didn't feel safe on these trails. The tour guide kept flirting with me and wanting to know where my husband was. It was just me and my daughter so I felt real uneasy. He kept staring at me... More
