I haven't rode a horse since I was a baby so of course I was so scared and nervous. I had Izzy who is a beautiful, dominant horse. Be prepare for the ride up, down and through the moment. The guide Bobby (I think that was his name) was pleasant and patient. This a must go to place

First of all I read the other reviews and yes there is poo everywhere(it's a horse ranch duh) yes the trails are muddy (rain+dirt=mud). We went for the scenery and it was beautiful. The guide Nate did a great job of matching horses to riders. All of the staff seemed to genuinely care about the horses. If you want a... More

Enjoyed the ride. They did a good job matching the riders to horses. Our guide, Nate, was great! Kept a watchful eye on All the riders and offered helpful hints on riding the horses, i.e. reining techniques, and don't lean into turns like your on a motorcycle. Beautiful new trail with views of Douglas Lake. Nate stopped several times so... More

We took our kids here this past November to horseback through the mountains. This was their favorite part of the entire trip. This is very much a family ran business and the people who run it are nothing but extremely kind. They love their animals. One of the young ladies even lent me a pair of her gloves so my... More

I found a Groupon for this stable, so that's why we went with this one as opposed to one of the dozens of others in this area. So the office area could use a little TLC, for sure, but don't let that fool you. The folks working there were super friendly and helpful. Nate was our guide and he was... More

Let me just start off by saying that I know horses pretty well, absolutely love riding, and have a lot of experience trail riding. So, I know my stuff. Well, to start off, the horses were skinny, they had food so I assume it was primarily because they are worked so hard every single day. Next, they were all kept... More

The trail we went on was pitiful, it was a walk they the back of their property, across the asphalt road and up another steep hill and then back. It was muddy and just not much scenery to it. Would not recommend it.

-Nobody was there to greet us -Employee was over 45 minutes late for our appointment and still ate her lunch and smoked a cigarette while we were sitting out in the heat - it took over an hour by the time we got on the horses -No apologies AND told us she only gets paid on tips so she would... We were looking at the different rides and the employee suggested a moonlight ride. It appealed to me because she said we'd see the sun set by the lake. That was a complete lie !! They told us to be back at 7:45 and by the time our horses were saddled the sun was down and we rode the majority... More
