We were traveling and decided to stop and do the winery tour on our way to Gatlinburg. We had such a great time with Justin at the Hillside Winery. He was very funny and had a wonderful personality. He knew all the wines and could tell us anything we needed to know about them. Great place and great service. We... More

We stop at Hillside as our final trip along the Winery Tour. My wife, who doesn't like wine, was impressed by the taste of all their wines, especially the Black and Blue Sangria Freezer. James, our host of sorts, was fantastic! He guided us through the list of wines, getting us to sample even the ones we thought our taste... More

My husband and I were attempting to kill an afternoon during our 7 day vacation to Gatlinburg so we stopped at a local winery for some samples and to do a tour. They mentioned they had a "winery tour" going on where, if you visited all of their local wineries, you would get souvenir wine glasses. We figured why the... More

We decided to make Hillside Winery our last 'attraction visit' before we left to head back home to Ohio. It was DEFINITELY worth the trip. I am a sweet wine person and Black & Blue is my new favorite. We were able to taste all the wines. James was very knowledgable and very entertaining. The wine was Reasonably priced. They... More

WOW! When you walk in, you have anything and everything you want for the wine lover! Their "gift shop" was large. I was greeted as soon as I walked in by an elderly lady. Very nice and made you feel welcomed. I did the wine tasting, and I prefer sweet ones so they had me try the Cantina Bianca, Vino... More

My favorite of the wineries in the area was Hillside Winery. They give a tour of the production areas and we even got a glass of their Hillside Spumante served by their head chemist. They were very friendly and we learned a lot of the how and why of making the bubbly wines (which they specialize in) We took home... More

We took a tour thru the winery and tasted wines. Our favorite is the black and blue...We brought back 3 bottles. We mix it with the Sangria freezer. It is the BEST!

Of all the trips to the area this was the first time I attempted to try Hillside winery (and the last). I walked in and wasn't greeted by a friendly smile or a hello from the staff. Most every winery I've been to does this...even when they're busy. I ended up circling the bar several times and no one would... More

We love stopping in at Hillside. Great staff always with a smile and they enjoy telling you about the wines. Cheeses are really good as well. Love the Cantina Bianca.
