Owner description: From our fresh cut orchard, we produce apple-based wine blended with other fruits, including grapes. Located on the banks of the Little Pigeon River in the Apple Barn Village, the Apple Barn Winery is next door to the world-famous Apple Barn General Store & Cider Mill, two great restaurants, a bakery, a candy store, an ice cream shop, and a Christmas shop. The Apple Barn Winery offers a unique twist on wine. Our wine is hand crafted in small lots on the farm to provide each customer the best possible wine from local fruit. Open daily for tasting and sales, our family oriented staff would love for you to stop by. Even if you are not a “wine connoisseur”, you will still take pleasure in browsing our gift shop full of unique items as well as wine accessories. Our video tour is a wonderful educational experience that provides the opportunity to learn more about the winemaker’s art.

Thought I liked the sweeter wines but on a trip to North Carolina I got bold and tried some drier offerings and have discovered that my tastes have quickly matured! That having been said, we are hitting the local wineries again to try the drier selections. The Vineyard Red and Cabernet... More

They had alot of items for sell and I enjoyed looking at everything. Went up for a wine tasting and the lady acted like she was being bothered and was very unhelpful. I only tried two as I did not want to bother her further.

I love high end red wines, but I have to say the apple wine was really good. I bought the apple strawberry for a friend. There were a lot of items to buy in this shop also . So if you don't drink there's things to buy.

We stopped in here after eating at the Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant and enjoyed every minute of our visit. There are free tastings and seasonal wines, we left with a box of wine. The staff is very knowledgeable and personable and made the visit even more enjoyable. There are specials regularly on combo boxes, cases, etc. If you enjoy trying different... More

Visited here as a part of the wine trail. You can try every single wine for free. I liked the special "PINK" wine for October & the Cranberry wine the best!
