We visited the Schermerhorn on an open house day so the entire building was open for viewing plus several spaces had live entertainment during the weekend. The courtyard, lobby, performance area are all very architecturally appealing. We have also attended a couple of evening performances; one from a box seat on the left side of stage and one from the... More

We went here July 3rd for Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture. The Nashville Symphony was great!! They started off with The Star Spangled Banner and ended with a salute to all servicemen then the 1812 Overture. I was disappointed by the two young ladies that were videoing and taking pictures during the final 15-20 minutes of the concert. At times one of... More

Kids friendly entertainment! The kids were on the edge of their seats. We sat in the balcony section. Great acoustics and the symphony was excellent. I highly recommend seeing the show and visiting the Schermerhorn Symphony when in Nashville.

For my anniversary, my wife surprised me with tickets to the Nashville Symphony. Her and I got dressed up nice and went. I had always wanted to go, but never made the time. I always thought it would be a nice to go, but I never could have imagined having that much fun. For anyone who loves music, this is... More

I've been to the Schermerhorn several times, for concerts, movies with the Symphony providing the score, and it really doesn't get better than this acoustically. Great sound, great seating. There are no bad seats in the house! Would recommend this venue for any type of entertainment.

Fantastic venue for concert events. Small and intimate yet with wonderful acoustics. Performers really seem to enjoy playing in this beautiful location, with two recent talents - Craig Ferguson and Buddy Guy - specifically mentioning the Schermerhorn. Tough to say whether The Schermerhorn is better than the Ryman, but a close second if not a tie.

Arrange a tour, if possible, as this building has beautiful design details that you might miss. The Nashville Symphony is wonderful and offers a little of everything throughout the year, making it easy to find something you would enjoy.

There is something for everyone sometime during the year. Valet parking. Shows vary - Broadway plays to programs for children and young at heart.

The acoustics are superb from every seat in the house. We've had seats from the very top tier in the back to the first few rows in the front. We've even sat behind the stage, which is interesting but not the best option most of the time. Our favorite is when they exchange the seats for bistro tables and chairs.... More

I have been here to attend a number of symphony concerts by the Nashville Symphony. The acoustics are great and the ambiance is very classical. Parking is good across the street in a paid parking lot or at the Hilton underground garage.
