Made a special trip to the Peanut Shop on Feb 7th before going to the Predators hockey game. Drove around the block several times trying to find a place to park. Finally has success, ran into the Arcade in search of the Peanut Shop and.... CLOSED! This was 1pm in a Saturday!!! Very disappointed

I have worked in buildings next to the Arcade for years in downtown Nashville and each day I would walk to The Peanut Shop to get my milk chocolate malt balls and my roasted peanuts. The store is very old and has an original look to it. You have to remember this store opened in 1927, I believe it was,... More

After reading the reviews on TA, we felt we had to go....... Only to be very disappointed. The tiny shop had an odor that resembled rancid and the peanuts that we did buy were stale. Did we miss something here so as to not appreciate it the way others have?

How good are their nuts? The line during lunch is usually out the door. You can't go wrong with this place for a tasty snack. It's like stepping back into childhood. I love this place and the staff is always full of smiles.

Smells delicious inside. Very friendly employees. A must stop if visiting the Arcade. They roast nuts fresh here. And have lots of other.treats to chose from

We were staying just 1/2 block away from the Arcade and stopped in one morning. The Peanut Shop has a collection of old lunch pails and other memorabilia that were fun to look at. I purchased a bag of roasted pecans that turned out to be the best I've ever had.

We learned about the Peanut Shop on our walking tour with Bill Demain. Following the tour we stopped in for some treats. It's a small store located in the Arcade. When you walk in you are taken back in time to the Peanut Shops found in many cities years ago. The cashews were so fresh and perfectly salted. The chocolate... More

I went to this shop hoping to see "Mr. Peanut" outside. However his costume was hanging gingerly from the ceiling inside the shop. The owner said he was now retired because it was difficult to find someone to stand outside in the hot with black tights and a hard peanut shell on. But, I was pleased to find that the... More

I work across the street from the Arcade where the Peanut Shop is located! I visit about twice a week for popcorn! Best popcorn in the area! I love the staff, I walk in and they immediately know "large bag of popcorn" sometimes I mess them up when I ask for an ice cream cone instead! Best ice cream cones... More

Our local Mr. Peanut shop in Raleigh closed many years ago, so it was a real treat to stop in this one. The proprietress was very friendly and offered samples of anything we wanted to taste. Although it added an hour or so to our trip, it was very much worth it. The peanuts and chocolate covered nuts were very... More
