Peace is what I find everytime I visit Shelby Park. I have been coming to this park since the 1960's. My high school took senior pictures here in 1978. My son had his first birthday here in 1984. Every year we have a big family reunion for Halloween on Windmill Hill in the Park...we make a fire in the fireplace... More

Great place for kids and dogs. One of the best places for outdoor fun. Clean and well kept. Need to bring your own drinks and food. Did not see vending machines.

My son is a cross-country runner. His team runs in Shelby Park, so I've been several times and enjoyed the beauty of the whole terrain, natural and accessible, a bit more of the country on the edge of urban downtown Music City. Walking, running, training, I see it at at Shelby Park, including golf lessons and games!

Walked near the river edge and came across used hypodermic needles. The area was littered and it seems that there were quit a few shady looking thugs in the area. Did not feel safe being here without being in a large group.

Shelby Park has a very nice nature center, and lots of walking paths. There is a trail trestle that traverses the Cumberland River and the park. It is very high and is a site to see when a train is going by.

I actually visited Shelby Park by accident. I was trying to find my way home from East Nashville and 24 was shut down. I ran into this park and loved it. Very quiet and very green.

Shelby Bottoms Park is located along the Cumberland River between downtown and Opryland. The surprising thing about this trail from the park to the Two Parkway parking area is how relatively flat it is (about 4 miles). The trail also leads to the bridge into downtown or you can peddle from the parkway to the dam at the lake (about... More

Nice park. But not totally safe at night. There arent any parks that are safe at night so just go during the day. Nice place to walk, bike, feed ducks. There is a trailhead to the greenways there.

we accessed this Greenway by way of Two Rivers Park, not far from Opryland. Was a great place to walk, rollerblade or bike. Appx. 8 miles of paved trail that has an awesome pedestrian bridge across the Colombia and beautiful scenery along a well shaded pathway. Parked at Two Rivers Park, which has a playground and is adjacent to a... More
