Established July 2012. Hank, Johnny, Chet, George, Tammy, Conway, Loretta, Dolly, Willie . . . There was a time when country music was on a first name basis with its fans. A time when the streets of downtown Nashville were alive with the sound of backroom guitar pulls, Midnight Jamborees and the Grand Ole Opry. Now you can recapture the magic of this golden era on the Walkin' Nashville Music City Legends Tour. Packed with history and behind-the-scenes anecdotes about your favorite country legends, this 90-minute walking tour tells the real story of how Nashville came to be called Music City. You'll see Printer's Alley, The Ryman Auditorium, Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, Ernest Tubb Record Shop and Hatch Show Print.Your friendly guide is Grammy-nominated journalist and musician, Bill DeMain. A longtime resident of Nashville, he will show you hidden corners of the city not found in any guidebook and tell you stories you won't hear on any other tour. From APRIL - OCTOBER, tours run Tuesday, Thursday-Saturday. From NOVEMBER - MARCH, tours run Friday & Saturday only (weekdays available by special arrangement for groups of 8 or more)Start Time: 10:30 AM (Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to check in)Tour Length: Approx. 2 Hours

This was one of the best tours I have been on. This was a great way to see the city and learn about what Nashville is known for which is music. Bill was EXTREMELY knowledgeable in the musical history and spirit of Nashville. You can tell he does his research and the passion he has doing it. Each site we... More

We have travelled many places in the world and always tour wherever we go. This tour is by far one of the best we have ever been on. It was informative, well designed and reflected Bills's love and knowledge of the music industry in Nashville. This is a must whether you are a first time traveller to Nashville, live in... More

Bill was a great guide. He knows so much about Nashville and took us to some great places. He wrote and owns the company so you are going to get a great tour. Bring your music trivia cause he knows it!

Put this at the top of your list. Bill is a wealth of knowledge on almost everything Nashville has to offer. As a music journalist, he has researched as well as met most country music legends. The walking tour was fascinating to our family group, including our two children in their twenties. He will point out the famouse sites, tell... More

Bill likes to start at the Chet Atkins statue, who he credits with starting a trend in country music. He then takes the tour within a few blocks of the area to talk about the rich cultural history that Nashville has. The walking totaled less than several blocks. I have worked in Nashville for the past two years and only... More

Best way to start your stay in Nashville! But also a great way to end it. I can't imagine there is a better walking-talking tour. Tourguide Bill does a great job, he is very passionate and well informed. He dishes out fun and interesting facts and stories about the history of the city and its world famous music scene.

My wife and I signed up for this tour on the recommendation of a relative who had been in Nashville for a wedding. An entire bachelorette party had been on the tour and just loved it. The first thing I'd like to say is that Bill DeMain was just fantastic. We were with a group of 15-20 people and Bill... More

Bill is extremely knowledgeable and made the best of a roasting hot/humid Tennessee day. We learned a lot about Nashville and the history of Country music! I would highly recommend this tour to those who have recently converted to country music or die hard, life long country music fans who want to get the most out of their visit to... More
