I'd seen Joe Mullins at the Grand Ole Opry a couple of nights before and had really enjoyed them. I heard that they were playing at the Station Inn that morning so made a point of going to see them again. They didn't let me down. The bar was almost full with a crowd that was really enjoying their music.... More

My daughter was told about this little joint by a friend that used to live in Nashville. We had walked by it 3 times sober and during the day not seeing the little sign outside. We got there about 7:00 pm to make sure we got seats, manager and bartender just getting organized, we went down the street, grabbed a... More

Station Inn is a funky little place, not too much larger than a living room, where the atmosphere is humble and the food is marginal (think popcorn and frozen mini pizzas)! However, that's not why you'll go! It's absolutely Nashville at its most authentic. One never knows who'll stop in, unexpectedly, to perform. One evening we saw Linda Carter (Wonder... More

Everyone we asked said the best place to go see some Bluegrass was The Station Inn and they were absolutely spot on. We had a great night... beer, classic tunes, a nice friendly setting... Definitely a highlight of our time in Nashville.

If you're even a little bit into Bluegrass, this is the place for you in Nashville. No fancy menu, and there isn't a huge beer selection. But grab a pitcher of beer and let them make you a pizza. You'll be pleasantly surprised. Also, you never know who may pop in a play a few. It's Music City after all!... More

We stumbled across this jewel accidently. It was open jam night and admission was free. There were young and old jamming the mandolin, violin, steel guitar, banjo, acoustic guitar, and stand up base. Young, old, female and male all coming together through the love of bluegrass music. Best night we had while in town. Will return!

The Station Inn can definitely be called a "dive," especially when compared to the new, trendy buildings surrounding it in the Gulch. Inside, there are plywood floors, mismatched tables and chairs, and posters lining the walls. It's lack of polish is completely charming, and gives the venue an authenticity that modern decor would erase. There is a small counter where... More

The Station Inn is all its said to be, but it is also much more. It is a repository for the traditions upon this country was built. It offers a moving insight into the music and the lives of an America which often seems to be disappearing. There is nothing fancy or even modern about the place. the drinks are... More

If you are a family with kids under 21 and plan on listening to live music in Nashville downtown area, this is a good choice. This is one of the few places downtown (not on Broadway) that allows kids when accompanied by adults. We were there on a Monday night. We had a good time. The music was nice. Good... More

If your grass is blue, The Station Inn is for you! Small, with great atmosphere. Bar food only, but restaurants in walking distance. Must come early to ensure a seat (sit where you like)! This venue is known for its Sunday bluegrass jams (free), featuring bluegrass stars, who frequent the stage throughout the year. I've sat at the table w/Ricky... More
