We happened upon this place while waiting for a table elsewhere for dinner. The doors were just opening at 7 and we went in to check it out and grab a drink. Small, basic place with a tiny bar and row tables with mostly folding chairs. We left after our drink and decided to swing back around after dinner to... More

Like some other reviewers mention, we worked out this place is basically THE bluegrass joint to check out in Nashville, so we went along to a show one of the nights we were in town. Very local crowd and a small venue, so it's fairly lose quarters, but people are real friendly, so we felt right at home and had... More

Computer searches told us this was probably THE place to hear bluegrass music in Nashville. We decided kind of late to go, and arrived at 8:30 for a 9:00 show. Appearing was Shannon Slaughter and County Claire. We got a couple of the last few seats in the house which was packed. There was a reasonable cover charge. A good... More

What to do Nashville Monday night? I got a casual tip that there was music at the Station Inn up the street. This was a fantastic tip. Not particularly a fan of country music, but the nine musicians who entertained on the night were quite amazing. And this all for an outlay of 12 dollars. This is a must see... More

This was our 2nd trip to the Station Inn to hear our favorite bluegrass group (The Steeldrivers). This is the perfect place to hear live music. The place is small and feels like your in someone's living room. Seating is limited and tight, and you will meet new friends this way. Doors open at 7, but if it's a big... More

We visited the Station Inn during the Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival - it is in a nice neighborhood, plenty of parking and definitely family friendly. Would definitely return - this is a must see for country music fans.

We went to The Station Inn on a Sunday night when there is no charge and open mic for bluegrass. This is a fairly modest venue and we shared a table with another group as it was very full. This could be very nice but the musicians seemed to be gathered in front of the stage on the right side... More

What a great music landmark! We went for the Sunday night open bluegrass jam. Definitely my favorite place we visited over a long weekend of live music. It's not upscale, it's not high class - but it is something NOT to be missed. Arrive right when it opens, so that you get a place to sit. It's a small place.... More

This was our first experience at The Station Inn, a small, smoke-free music venue showcasing incredible music talent--a real old-school Nashville landmark! If you are looking for plush or flashy, go elsewhere, but if upstart musical talent is your interest, don't miss it! Its real, its intimate, and its AUTHENTIC!

The Station Inn located in the trendy gulch area of Nashville, is probably the least trendy attraction in Nashville. Which is what makes it such a great venue. They feature Bluegrass music, the best. You go there for the music, a cold beer and a good time.
