This is a small venue with real commitment to protecting the true roots of country music. It is very similar to some the grimier clubs I have visited in the UK with all the same charm and history. We visited for the Sunday night bluegrass jam with over a dozen musicians drifting in and out of the band, playing whatever... More

The Fireball Mail was playing, totally enjoyable. They played a mix of standards and their own original music. They serve cold beer, fresh popcorn, pizza and hot dogs. Music starts promptly at 9 PM and ends at 11 PM. It's open seating at long tables. Doors open at 7 PM. We arrived just before 9 PM on this Saturday night... More

This was my second time here my husbands first. It is so nice to get there around 8:00pm, find the soft comfy seats against the wall and just people watch and wait ......Val Storey and band were playing fantastic bluegrass music! She has a beautiful voice to go with the banjo, mandolin, bass, fiddle, and guitars!! It was very enjoyable... More

Don't miss stopping by the Station Inn when in Nashville. They have a great line up of country/blue grass artists that will wow you. From the outside this building is not special, you could walk right by without noticing it. The lounge, food and drink are not fancy either but you go for the music and ambiance. Many fine memories... More

This place is hidden and a true Nashville gem for music lovers! We went on 12/27 and saw Bluelaws which was a fabulous bluegrass roots band. Went back on 12/28 for the Bluegrass jam session and that was unbelievable!! The music is great. They have beer and soda. I would say eat elsewhere as the pizza and Nacho's are a... More

I have been here many times, as my family lives near Nashville, and I highly recommend it. The live music is authentic, and very often there are truly excellent musicians playing. Look for Shawn Camp, Darrell Scott, Tim O'Brien, the Earls of Leicester, and 18 South. I've seen them all play there and they are marvelous musicians. You just can't... More

Nashville may be changing but thankfully the World Famous Station Inn remains the same ! I was greeted at the door by a very helpful Englishman, not what I was expecting, but he managed to find me a seat in an already packed venue. It seems that I had stumbled in on a special night where 'The Earls of Leicester'... More

We went to hear great country music which it was until they brought up former Saturday Night Live performer and now local fat disgusting rightwing nutjob Victoria Jackson. We had to listen to her "sing" an unbelievably offense song about the President being a communist, with all the other usual slurs thrown in including the birther nonsense. I don't know... More

The Station Inn is the Grand Ole Opry of bluegrass music. It's a very unassuming one story building located in the heart of the Gulch, an upscale neighborhood that has grown up around it over the past ten years or so. No matter who's playing there, you'll get a close up experience. They have great sound, bottled beer, and you... More

I'd seen Joe Mullins at the Grand Ole Opry a couple of nights before and had really enjoyed them. I heard that they were playing at the Station Inn that morning so made a point of going to see them again. They didn't let me down. The bar was almost full with a crowd that was really enjoying their music.... More
