This is the REAL thing - intimate space, great singing and playing bluegrass

I couldn't ask for better music - we went on a Monday night, when Carl Jackson, Larry Cordle and friends - it started at 9 pm or about that time, and ended at 11:15 - and could have gone on for longer. These singers and players - fiddle, two guitars, electric guitar, piano, bass, and even drum (played unobtrusively but... More

This is a find for anybody with even a slight interest for roots music. The place looks a bit out-of-place as the whole Gulsch area seems to be in the middle of a complete revamp. The inside offers an eclectic mix of different tables and chairs close to the small stage. The bar in the back serves drinks and snacks.... More

Don't go by the appearance of this club because it is rather rustic. But what a fun place to go if you like Blue Grass music. The group playing that evening was Barefoot Movement and they were amazing! The cover charge was $12.00 but worth every penny. Get there early so you can get a good seat. The place also... More

So as the other reviews show we were expecting to hear some music, here which we did but we were there on a Tuesday night, when the Debbie and Doyle show was on. I had read lots of stuff about the station been one of the must visit places. We weren’t expecting a show and were caught out a bit... More

Terrific place to catch some music. Small venue, relatively intimate in a convenient location - a short walk off the tourist path. Can see the band and discern their faces from all seats in the house. It's first come first served seating - so go right after supper, or eat there - though the menu is limited (dogs and pizzas).... This place is all about the music, which is what makes it cool. Inside the place couldn't be more austere, which includes the drink selections -- They only serve beer. Truly neat experience watching a group of Bluegrass musicians in such a casual and laid back environment. If you are into Bluegrass then this is a must visit. Otherwise the... More

This is a small venue with real commitment to protecting the true roots of country music. It is very similar to some the grimier clubs I have visited in the UK with all the same charm and history. We visited for the Sunday night bluegrass jam with over a dozen musicians drifting in and out of the band, playing whatever... More

The Fireball Mail was playing, totally enjoyable. They played a mix of standards and their own original music. They serve cold beer, fresh popcorn, pizza and hot dogs. Music starts promptly at 9 PM and ends at 11 PM. It's open seating at long tables. Doors open at 7 PM. We arrived just before 9 PM on this Saturday night... More

This was my second time here my husbands first. It is so nice to get there around 8:00pm, find the soft comfy seats against the wall and just people watch and wait ......Val Storey and band were playing fantastic bluegrass music! She has a beautiful voice to go with the banjo, mandolin, bass, fiddle, and guitars!! It was very enjoyable... More
