VERY worthwhile to see, whether you're a fan or not. In a state full of tours of old mansions and plantations (and we did a number of them), the tour of this incredible log cabin mansion was truly excellent - very professionally run and they successfully included a perfect combination of details on the building and its construction, the family... What a unique tour! We went on a very pleasant March afternoon. One of the first warm ones (welcome after the cold winter!) and with the promise of Spring in the air. We didn't exactly know what to expect but from the time we purchased our tickets, got on the shuttle to go to the mansion proper, and then met... More

This was a nice tour. Guides are all entertainers, so they are interested in and knowledgeable about the place and that makes a difference when touring. Home was very interesting, guide would talk about each room and the family and give you time to explore. Tour moved along at a good pace. We enjoyed it!

Everyone form the bus driver to the tour guide was very pleasant. They made it fun and interesting. The restaurant looked nice but we didn't get a chance to try it. Everything was clean and well maintained. Overall it was a relaxing and fun day for my husband and I.

"Mohawk" Steve as our guide did an excellent job with all of the star studded items in the mansion. You can touch/handle most all of these and that makes the tour special. A beautiful place.

The actually tour was awesome! Out bus driver to the Manson was super nice. But the best was our tour guide Steven Whitson!! He did a wonderful job guiding us and telling us all of the history of the Manson. But honestly the best part was him singing to us. I really hope we hear this young man sing again.

Our tour was guided by none other than Nashville’s very own country legend Vance Nichols, piano player extraordinaire, who entertained us by tickling the ivories while our group viewed the Great Room of Fontanel Mansion – former home of country sensation Barbara Mandrell. I believe Vance told us Fontanel is sometimes called the Hillbilly Biltmore. If I recall Biltmore, they... More

Interesting and entertaining tour of Barbara Mandrell's mansion... Beautiful place and lots too see; warm, and very friendly staff! We lucked out because our tour guide, Chris, was top-notch! Very knowledgeable, and funny, and what a talent...beautiful voice and piano player! Thank you so much for a fantastic experience! Would definitely recommend it to a friend... Jon & Michael from... We went to Fontanel after reading about it on trip advisor. We had a great time and enjoyed it immensely. Our tour guide Steven remembered every single one of our names on the tour - at least 20 people and he was kind, friendly, knowledgeable and talented. He sang two of his own songs! Fontanel was the home of Barbara... More

Having moved to Nashville from New Orleans not quite two years ago, I am still exploring the city and what it has to offer as far as visitor attractions. A friend from New Orleans was in town for a business trip and had a few extra days to spend so Fontanel came to mind. I had attended a concert at... More
