My sister recently moved to Nashville, and during my first visit we were looking for local daytime activities. The tour of Fontanel Mansion came up as highly rated on a TripAdvisor search; we were not disappointed with our decision to check it out!! All of the staff were wonderful, especially our tour guide who is quite the musician himself. They... More

My 2nd visit to the Fontanel mansion and I learned even more on this visit about this beautiful and interesting home. Steven Whitman is a fantastic host and talented artist! He sang a couple of his songs while we looked through the Great Room. All of the staff are extremely knowledgeable and eager to make your stay enjoyable. We definitely... More

Gorgeous 27,000 sq. foot log mansion but still had a homey feel to it. Staff and tour guides were knowledgable and talented as they played an instrument and sang as you spent extra time in the "GREAT room". Lots of memorabilia that you could touch and comfy chairs to sit on. Interesting stories abound as you look at the columns... More

As other reviews state this is not your average museum or house tour. The home is very interesting and the setting great. I wish we had time for the walk around the property. Only complaint is it looks like they are trying to make it a little commercial with the Pritchard's distillery, the zip line etc. But that being said... More

We were impressed with their rule: if you would like a closer look, please pick it up and look it over. Just be careful. Our son was allowed to take signed guitars off the wall to pose for pictures, we were allowed to sit on the furniture, it was refreshing from the usual 'don't touch' policy you are accustomed to.... Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Tour is about an hour but feels like 10 minutes. So many things to see, but not really enough time to take everything in on one trip. Restaurant on property with good food, average prices and good atmosphere. Pritchard's Distillery is a nice place to await tour.

Even though she was popular before I was born, I have been a fan of Barbara Mandrell's music since before I can remember. Don't let the reviews fool you - this is a great stop for country music fans of ANY age. Not just those of a certain era. The museum and tour is unlike any I have been on... More

Drove to the Fontanel Café to eat. Great quality food, good portions, appropriate prices. The gift shop has many unusual and unique items, not found anywhere else. I also enjoyed the Prichard's Distillery next door. I don't drink, but the tour was awesome and the people there are extraordinarily friendly.

I visited the fontonel on a rainy day on January with my friend while we were visiting Nashville as a stop on a road trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and tour around the mansion. The tour guide with the Mohawk (Chris??) was fun and informative. This house is a really cool glimpse into how the other side lives. I... More
