This tour was fantastic! It's not like visiting a museum where you are limited with what you see/do. This is an open house, and you are encouraged to touch things, sit on the furniture, open closets, etc. There are also many items in the home that are unrelated to Barbara Mandrell; the current owners manage other huge music acts and... What's not to like about a 28,000 square foot log cabin mansion? The tour guides were knowledgeable, funny and very entertaining.

Steven Whitson was our guide. So entertaining! They allow you to sit on the furniture, beds, try on Kenny Chesney's jacket, pick up the guitars on the walls, most anything as long as you don't break it. I found this tour at the last minute on tripadvisor and it was the highlight of my trip. We have been to Nashville... More

I have been a fan of Barbara Manrell snce I was a young boy. My Mom lifted me on stage, and she sang to me. The mansion tour is great. I had wanted to experience The Fontanel snce I first saw it on televions in the early 90's. Everyone is friendly and accommodating.

The mansion needed a little updating but it was neat you were able to touch things. The tour guide was good. I wish there would have been more about Barbara. This is were it's weird. Two guides who are managers bought the house and so a lot of the tour is about them and what they have in the house... More

Have always been a fan of Barbara Mandrell but didn't really feel Barbara's presence there. What have loved to hear Barbara's music playing through parts of the house. We were the last two or of the day and the last visitors to leave the house because we were buying CDs and the driver left us at the house because we... More

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our tour group was small, only four of us so we had a lot of individual attention. Our tour guide Justin was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We enjoyed listening to him sing a country cover song as well as one of his original compositions. We were very impressed... More

This is a must see if you are in the Nashville area. It is the largest log home in the world and the former residence of Barbara Mandrel. The tour is about an hour long and the tour guide is fantastic.

OK, so this wasn't what I was expecting - I clearly missed the blurb about it belonging to Barbara Mandrell. Not quite the southern plantation I thought we were heading for... To start with, if you follow a sat nav, don't try and go in the house gates. Park in the visitor centre car park next door. Then go into... More
