Sunday afternoon biking!

This is an excellent greenway to ride along. We rode from the wave pool to downtown. Quiet. Shady. Well kept. This was very enjoyable.

Whenever we vacation, we take our bicycles and explore the countryside. Shelby Bottoms Greenway is one of the nicest trails we have ever encountered. We started at the nature center and rode up to and across the Cumberland River Pedestrian Bridge. The trails are flat, pretty and clean with rest stops available. It was a great opportunity to view local... More

I LOVE this greenway by my house! I am currently working at home and at about 2:30-3pm every day my cabin fever gets the best of me and I MUST LEAVE THE HOUSE! So I hop in the car and in 5 minutes I'm at the north entrance of Shelby Bottoms park! I knew I had to seek out a... More

We really enjoyed walking this pathway! Saw lots of other folks - running, biking, rollerblading, walking, etc. Obviously a well-used path. Lots of parking available near the Nature Center. Bathrooms available there, too. Path well-maintained and has a few bridges to cross. Kinda wished we could've seen more of the river, since the path was pretty much next to it,... More

Starting at the Shelby Bottoms Nature Center, you can bike, roller-blade, walk, run, or whatever suits your taste on the very well maintained trail that you can take to Wave Country (about 3.2 miles one way) or you can go the other direction to Titan's Stadium or the Pedestrian Bridge (also just over three miles). It is very safe and... More

It was bad new for awhile after the Great Nashville Flood did it's damage but it's in good shape now. Excellent place to walk or ride a bike but you do NOT want to roller blade on this one. The other end toward the dam is just as bad for roller blading. Lots of sticks and hills that make it... More

We took our bikes to this trail head off Davidson Street. Very nice Nature Center located in this spot. This trail has some hills so be prepared. Spectacular view from a pedestrian bridge spanning the Cumberland River. We went all the way past the Two Rivers golf course to a middle school and turned around for the ride back to... More

This park is so great with it's paved pathways, nature center, ponds. If you bicycle you'll love this place. The view from the pedestrian bridge over the Cumberland is awesome and great for sunsets or watching barges pass underneath. Wildlife is everywhere if you look closely. Deer, rabbits, many species of birds.

Enjoy this path. Most of it is cool and in the shade and 12 miles from downtown to the lake. Its great for the whole family and not to many hills.

Shelby bottoms was a nice way to spend a morning. We saw deer, ducks, and a variety of birds. My son loved the nature center, where he got to make a pine cone and peanut butter bird feeder. Sneakers are fine, it's not hiking. Many paths are paved, some are not. The unpaved paths were a bit muddy, but it... More
