We tried the free transit, it was great, 3 different routes take you around the downtown area, then we tried the regular transit to go to the Coloseum, with help from the Welcome Centre, we found it and paid $1.70 each way and it worked out fine. Cheap way to get around. There is a lot of history in Nashville.... More

If you go to Nashville you have to go downtown. Excellent music just about every where you pop in. Some of the honky tones are more expensive than others, but the history and present mix together in an incredible experience.

the downtown area is as interesting as as any area. the souvenir shops are good and the staff is friendly. two of the better stops are Jacks BBQ and Mike's homemade ice cream. both are worth a visit.

visited for a couple of days after the 4th of July. Broadway street has at least 40 bars and honky tonks and most of them have bands and it is a haven for county music lovers. The good is the live music the bad is that it is really difficult to get into them since they are packed wall to... More

There was a Taylor Swift concert the evening we were in downtown Nashville. It was very crowded. We ate at Hard Rock Cafe because the Saloon was charging a cover charge just to dine. I would take a guided tour at the beginning to hear of all the sights to see.

This is my fourth visit to Nashville, and I agree with another reviewer that lots of the buildings have been restored, and its generally very clean. The police are constantly on patrol, but I didnt see any trouble. The restaurants on and close to Broadway are mostly of the burger and fries type, but the food I had in Margueritaville... More

I enjoyed downtown Nashville a lot to do and see. It's very expensive to park downtown that's why we didn't stay very long, the price of parking is redicolous.
