I would probably give this another star had there been less construction going on in the downtown area. Made it very loud and dusty. Other than that, for the number of people and bars downtown they keep it remarkably clean! It is kind of like a country music version of New Orleans. The music and fun never stop and every... More

Being a Nashvillian has it's advantages, and living in Music City is wonderful! Downtown is geared for tourists for sure, but there are also many things to do that don't cost a penny! Just walking down 2nd avenue is a great experience as music comes from different venues day and night. Extremely talented street musicians can be heard throughout downtown,... More

Some nice things but very spread out in an insane traffic network that doesn't work well. Good restaurants but parking can run $6+ per hour so if weather good park further out.

The music is fantastic in all of the bars. These musicians play their hearts out trying to be discovered. Starts at 11 am and continues through the night. The bands never go on break and it is a real treat to watch them.

Large hotels, numerous restaurants and tourist attractions define downtown Nashville. Parking can be challenging, but try to find a garage for $10 or $15. There are plenty of things to do and have fun. This is also a government city with the state capitol being an important landmark.

Downtown Nashville was fun and we were impressed by the fact that we could go to any establishment and hear good live music. Nashville seemed a little too pricey and "tourist-ee" for my taste but all in all we had fun.

Our first trip to Nashville and really enjoyed the music, people, food and drink. Very clean around the entire city and very easy to get around. Will definitely vacation there again!

I wish I had more comfortable shoes on! Bar hopping is too much fun on a fall night with friends. Rippy's is Great, Acme Feed store is Fabalous and a must do, Oh, and don't forget Tootsie's and at 9:00 sharp at Robert's Western World at 416 Broadway have a House band that plays the "Orange Blossom Special" and it... Downtown Nashville is simply a great place to visit, especially at night. There is great country music being played in dozens of bars that you can just walk in, no cover charges, and bands change every hour.
