We loved that the old is nestled right in with the new! I love architecture and history and absolutely loved the downtown area. We loved all the music that you can hear from 10:30 am on...just about every where you go. Tootsie's is a must see...there is enough history on the walls there to keep you busy for quite a... More

Everything in Nashville downtown is within 1/2 a mile area and easy to walk once you are there. There are lots of small bars/restaurants to visit and "lots" of live music on the street. Every bar has live entertainment! There is lots of policing in the tourist area and therefore felt secure even with family at night. Will definitely return. More

Rode the free "green bus" from the Gulch area where we parked our car (cheaper than downtown) to downtown Nashville. It was fun for the little ones and a pleasant ride. We got off at the train station at the Riverfront and took a little walk past - and thru- Fort Nashboro. We ended up eating at Sbarro for pizza... More

Dwtn Nashville is small...everything with in 1/2 a mile mostlyso easy walking once you are there. Lots of small bars/restaurants to visit and "lots" of live music on the street and inside. Full range of place from dives to classy. Area was clean with a nice river front and lots of policing in the tourist area so felt secure even... More

I live in Clarksville and there is absolutely no action here. Travelling the hour drive to downtown Nashville is so worth the drive. Downtown is always so lively. Bars and clubs are plenty, live music all the time, and plenty of ppl watching to do on the streets. In comparison to Beale Street in Memphis, Downtown Nashville wins hands down.... More

Theres a great feel to downtown Nashville. There is music everywhere you walk and lots of random players on the street too. We ate at Merchants - good food but not that cheap. Most of e shops are filled with tourist stuff but there are some good music shops - worth a visit and more than once More

We have been to Nashville many times before but this time before the concert we attended at the Ryman on Friday evening, we took some time to walk along Broadway-between 4th and 5th, which is known as the Honky Tonk area. Many, many bars and shops. Everyone was having a great time, music coming out of many of the bars... More
