Great place to visit for live music day and night. This area is safe to walk the streets and enjoy yourself. Watch out for panhandlers, they roam the streets asking for money...

We went to downtown Nashville at 7PM to wander around and see the sights. We wound up on the wrong street somehow, and found 2 crackheads standing in the middle of the road trying to fight. I was very surprised by that and the heavy urine smell, because we were very close to areas outlined in several walking tours I... More

Visited Downtown Nashville three times during the week we stayed at Wyndham Nashville. Dropped off from the shuttle bus, much better than having to try and park and also find parking especially at weekends. Around the corner from our drop-off was when we heard the music, WOW, this is what we had come for, a little dissapointed with Memphis especially... More

Got to downtown Nashville,Tennessee around 9:pm Sunday evening, thinking there might not be much to see or do since we had gotten in so late. BOY!!!! was I wrong...I walked into a outdoor concert on the Cumberland river.....beautiful...After the concert we walked up the main street named Broadway..I thought I was on Bourbon street in New Orleans, without the drunks... If you are bored walking around downtown Nashville you should go home. If you are not into bars there are lots of restaurants, museums, and historical areas.

Downtown runs from one extreme to the other. From Auditorium in all its glory to the Bridgestone Arena. Concert venues everywhere you turn. Great places to eat and drink and live music all day and night. Downtown continues to grow and cant wait to see whats next

Feel the different beats as you walk down the streets of Nashville. A colorful mix of country and Irish and pop and rock all bleeding out onto the streets as you walk by. You won't use the term eclectic here but you'll feel it everywhere you go. Broadway and second Avenue's country sound pleading hearts to the indie rock beats... More

We enjoyed walking up and down Broadway before dinner. The music flowing into the street was entertaining. Many of the establishments were just bars and not really for families. There are several that are restaurants with live music that are suitable for families. As it grew darker, the atmosphere was really geared more for adults.
