Located in a small strip mall outside of downtown Nashville, the 100 seat venue is unassuming in appearance but some of the most significant songwriters and artists have performed on this stage. « less

A must see spot for any music lover in Nashville. The Blue Bird is a small intimate venue that's let's you experience the music and the musicians in a up close and personnel setting. We waited over an hour in the rain to get in but was so glade we did. We had the pleasure of listening to the Real... More

Just returned from a trip to Nashville. I have been to the Bluebird before, but my friend hadn't. (And it's one of those "Must do" experiences while you are in Nashville). We didn't have any luck making reservations, but we decided to go and try for the unreserved seats at the bar. We arrived at the Bluebird about 3:15 for... More

The Bluebird consistently provides exceptional singer/songwriter entertainment in an intimate setting. Songwriting legends such as Carole King as well as the next hit songwriter who hasn't been discovered yet, perform in this venue. Last week, I sat 5 feet from Jewel, while she played guitar and sang her hit songs. It doesn't get any more intimate than that! Hear their... More

This was, by far, the best venue we visited in Nashville. Albeit a 2.5 hour wait to get into "writers night"' , we loved every minute once we were inside. We were impressed with the regular updates from Tom as we waited in line. From the moment we stepped in the door we were delighted. The MC, Steve, was funny... More

My husband I were lucky enough to get reserved tickets for a 6:00 show . We went on a Thursday, and there were 4 singers/songwriters on the stage. We were close enough we could have touched them. They were all very talented and entertaining. We loved the fact that it was a small, quiet place and you could listen and... More

My daughter and I went to the Bluebird last Sunday night for a writer's night. We stood in line for over 2 hours and it was totally worth it! It was up there with one of my best life experiences! The intimate venue, couple with incredible entertainers, made for a perfect evening. Food was good - exceeded my expectations. We... More

Our visit to the Blue Bird Café turned out to be our favorite activity of our entire trip to Nashville. The food is basically bar food, but was good, especially the homemade chips with chipotle dip. If you want to go on a Friday or Saturday buy your tickets as soon as they go on sale the previous Monday. The... More

I want to start by saying that this is a SMALL venue!! I mean...I tried to get tickets for a Saturday show the minute they went on sale and they were sold out in two minutes. With that being said, they do allow 20 people in (first come/first serve) for bar and pew seats during week night shows and that's... More

I had no idea what to expect with this place. I had seen info about it online, and it looked interesting. This place is a very small venue with two shows a night, with about a $15 minimum (food or drink). You need to make reservations a week ahead. With all that said, IT WAS AWESOME! It was my first... Of the four days we stayed in Nashville, and all the attractions we went to, this was by far my favourite. What a fascinating place. It oozes atmosphere as you enter (not from the parking lot however because its in a strip mall) The history of the place, the performers love of music, the attentiveness of the audience hanging on...
