"The Bluebird Cafe is one of the world's preeminent listening rooms and has gained worldwide recognition as a songwriter's performance space where the "heroes behind the hits" perform their own songs; songs that have been recorded by chart-topping artists in all genres of music. Located in a small strip mall outside of downtown Nashville, the tiny 85 seat venue is unassuming in appearance but some of the most significant songwriters and artists have performed on this stage.

The reservation on line is not easy but worth a try. If you had the time to book before hand and got lucky with the on-line reservation that is the way to go. I wasn't that lucky and waited in line 3 hours before the doors open. But, there is a lot around the area to use bathrooms, get a... More

live music in an intimate setting. Only go it you love listening intently to song writers. Well organised but would recommend booking. Also book taxi for end of show as none were available when we left.

This little cafe is AMAZING. I got in on a Sunday night which is writers night, and experience what I would call a magical night. Only to be followed up by getting in again Tuesday night for "in the rounds" which was equally amazing. Advise get in line early or try to make reservations. I would fly to Nashville again... More

On the last night of our honeymoon, we went here and saw David Meade, The Reklaws, and Robert Ellis Orrall. These guys were great! Be sure to get reservations. There isn't a bad seat in the house. We sat at the bar. The only negative about the bar seat was we had to hold plates in our lap. No a... More

Get there at least 90-minutes early and wait outside for your chance to see some of the best yet-to-be-known songwriters. It's like a country cabaret show with some really talented young musicians just waiting to impress you. The food is fine - bar food style. The seats are uncomfortable. The drinks will do. But you're going for the music so... More

We went to the blue bird and did not have tickets so we arrived just over an hour before the show was starting. The people with tickets get in first and the leave some seats for people without tickets. Our show was in 'in the round" so there were 4 musicians sitting in a circle in the middle of the... More

Went to the bluebird cafe and it truly was worth the trip! You are sitting right there with the singers/ songwriters and it's all a fun jam session in a cozy little place! I do stress you must plan ahead, we got our tickets by waiting in the queue 20mins before they opened for purchase at 8am and although we... More

Oh gosh, if you really had just one day in Nashville, where would you go that evening for live music, the Grand Ole Opry or the Bluebird Cafe? That's a tough one, but since neither Jamie W. nor I have ever been to Nashville before, we went with the Opry with no regrets. An excellent concert that turned out to... More

Wow, what an atmosphere. I heard about this legendary cafè and really wanted to take visit. I'm really glad that I did. Me and my friend went at the 6.30 show when (among others) Tony Mullins was performing. Everything about it was amazing. The show, the very personal service but above all; the atmosphere. Pure magic. Everyone leaving the place... More

Our visit to the Bluebird began with a very stressful ticket purchase, as you can only get your hands on some a week before your desired performance between approximately 8:00 and 8:04am. Once you've landed in the online queue, you then have to wait in a "line" (that appears to be completely randomly assigned regardless of when you enter the... More
