Located in a small strip mall outside of downtown Nashville, the 100 seat venue is unassuming in appearance but some of the most significant songwriters and artists have performed on this stage. « less

It is difficult to get tickets here, as you must book them a week ahead (but no more). Sometimes they have unsold tickets at the door, but not often. If you are ready to be at your computer at the appropriate time and secure tickets (usually priced no higher than $10.) , you will be rewarded by one of the... More

I love listening to music in small, intimate places like the Bluebird - there's a real air of respect for the artists as they perform. We booked tickets as soon as they were released one-week in advance of the show, which is really worth doing so you can choose a cosy little table near the stage (not that anywhere is... More

We arrived on a Friday night with no reservations for the early show. We arrrived about 5:15 and were about 15th or so in line for the no reservations side. Fortunately we had no trouble getting in. We were seated on a bench - no table - but we did not expect one since we had no reservations. There is... More

Went to just listen to the music and have a couple of drinks. Loved the "theater in the round" concept where the performers were visible from every seat in the place. We were in the "pews" which get a little uncomfortable after a while, but no complaints about the music. Great place to hear songwriters combine with other artists. Can't... More

Music lovers, get your reservations now. What a wonderful experience listening to such talented musicians in such an intimate setting. We visited last weekend and caught the early Saturday evening show, where 3 singer-song writers with guitars, and 1 with a keyboard performed their original songs. It's great to see the folks who often do the writing sing familiar tunes... More

My family and I recently visited the Bluebird Cafe while in Nashville over spring break. The food was just OK but the show was awesome. The place is very small and only holds about 100 people. You need to make reservations on line a week before the show if you want a table for the show. Their web site is... More

Bluebird Cafe is a quaint cafe for up-and-coming singer-songwriters and professionals. You never know what you are going to get. Call ahead for reservations or arrive VERY early to be one of the first 20 in line for a seat. More

I had strong reservations about this outing. I am almost 60 years old and past the night club era of my life. This was truly an inspiring evening. So many talented people selling their wares. Beautiful music, good food and spirits and a very nice vibe. I understand it can change from the first show to the next as well... More

While we are not Newgrass and Country music fans generally, we truly enjoyed our evening at the Bluebird. Such a cozy, unpretentious setting as you are seated at small cafe tables with the musicians right in the middle. You feel like you are taking part in a jam session with them. A thoroughly enjoyable and unforgettable experience. More
