Owner description: "The Bluebird Cafe is one of the world's preeminent listening rooms and has gained worldwide recognition as a songwriter's performance space where the "heroes behind the hits" perform their own songs; songs that have been recorded by chart-topping artists in all genres of music. Located in a small strip mall outside of downtown Nashville, the tiny 85 seat venue is unassuming in appearance but some of the most significant songwriters and artists have performed on this stage.

A Nashville tradition that shouldn't be missed. If you can get a ticket, go, don't worry about the line up or who is playing. You will be amazed when you hear the songs you've always known being preformed by their songwriter. An intimate setting, not a bad seat at the Bluebird. Don't miss out.

This is definitely a must do for any country enthusiast visiting Nashville! My fiancé was in the queue on line at 8am US time to get tickets a week in advance of our visit, we were overjoyed to get tickets as all the greats started here! We ordered a taxi to the Bluebird and the first question the taxi guy... More

In preparation for our trip to Nashville, I made sure to set my alarm for Monday morning to book bluebird cafe tickets. As expected, I was unable to get tickets so plan B was to get in line on the night of any performance. We got in line at around 1730 for the Friday 1930 show and we were already... More

This was a great experience for my husband and I. We know it's a big thing in Nashville since all the big names first started out singing at the Bluebird cafe. People don't go here for the food - I can't say the food was really good either. But definitely check this place out for the experience. Yes, you have... More

My friends and I all signed in and waited for tickets online to the Bluebird for the Jan 3rd show. We were successful, and we were all very excited! We took uber from our hotel to the place and it felt like we were driving and driving and driving. And when the car stopped, we were in a stripmall! I... More

Our extended family of six were fortunate enough to be able to enjoy a show here on the evening of December 26, 2014. The artists were Daisy Mallory and three other young singer-songwriters from the Nashville area. The show was outstanding and the setting, so intimate, was wonderful. We would return in a heartbeat. Cannot recommend this place enough. My... More

We waited a long time to get to visit the Bluebird Café. I live over 450 miles away and don’t have much opportunity to get to Nashville. The experience was a 2.5 out of 5. Their haphazard “first come first serve” system was a major irritation, and came close to completely ruining our night. We only had one night in... More

Thanks for your comments and I wish you had spoken up earlier! The only way we can address concerns is if we know about them - and I take your comments seriously. The Bluebird is 32 years old and having worked there for 30 of those years, I think it is one of the most incredible experiences someone who loves... More

My husband and I visited Nashville the weekend after Christmas and were dying to see a show at the Bluebird. Our hotel shuttle driver warned us that we should get there at least two hours in advance and we're so glad we did! On Sunday nights they don't take reservations for their 6 o'clock or 8 o'clock show. You want... More

Amazing experience. Must do in Nashville. You most likely wont recognise who is performing but take the chance and you won't regret it. Only the most talented take stage at the Bluebird. (Buy your souviners at the Opry shop though. More t-shirt options :))

I made reservations for my wife and I to see Don Schlitz and Jill Sobule at the Bluebird cafe and it was the best live music we've ever experienced. The performance was incredible and the venue was one of a kind. We were seated at Table 7 and I don't think there was a better table in the house. They... More
