"The Bluebird Cafe is one of the world's preeminent listening rooms and has gained worldwide recognition as a songwriter's performance space where the "heroes behind the hits" perform their own songs; songs that have been recorded by chart-topping artists in all genres of music. Located in a small strip mall outside of downtown Nashville, the tiny 85 seat venue is unassuming in appearance but some of the most significant songwriters and artists have performed on this stage.

Yep, it is hard to get in. The digital line is next to impossible, it seats 90, and 25 get in through the line unless there are cancellations. On a weekday we got to the line at 4:20 and were 21-23. Yep, it was hot, but well worth the wait. Settle in, get a cold beer and wait for the... More

Well, my intentions where to get up early, but left two hours behind schedule. Then I had to stop five times delaying my trip even more. I drove the minimal six hour drive from Jackson, MS to Nashville, TN in no record time. I wanted to have a drink or two while sitting the Bluebird Cafe. A little ole Idaho... More

Some friends and I came to this establishment and were told at the door that we were not welcome because this was not a bachelor wet party type of establishment. We all came from different states and were very excited to come here! Yes we were on a bachelorette party but this was our first stop because we wanted somewhere... More

Be prepared to wait in line. Unfortunately, my wife and I were not in time to see the open mic. We arrived at 4:40 since the doors opened at 5:30. We were about 100th in line. The establishment only holds 87 capacity. On open mic night, 25 writers/singers and one family member enters first only allowing approximately 27 more individuals.

Favorite place to go when we visit Nashville. Love to hear the behind the writing of the songs with some of the best writers you could ever see. Victoria Shaw is always on our list during CMA Music Festival week!!

You don't even need to be a country fan to appreciate the raw beauty and emotion of these singer/songwriters. It's tough to get tickets but I absolutely recommend it!

We'd done our research, got in the online queue to book and snagged the centre front table, so were shown to our seats quickly on arrival and settled in to enjoy the show. There was a strange smell about the place, but this soon became unnoticeable. Merchandise was a little expensive, but food was a decent price and quite tasty.... More

For any Nashville (t.v. Series) watchers this is a must see. The hubby and I went about 2 1/2 hrs early and we were the 4th people in line. Got in and got a small table right in front. The ambiance is eh but I loved it! Got humus and veggies which were good. Listened to a guy who wrote... More

It is not easy to get tickets to an event at the Bluebird, but if you are lucky enough to get them, you will not regret it. We had an excellent evening listening to the original song writer sing their original material. Corey Crowder, Maddy Rodriguez, Cole Taylor, and Clay Evans were fantastic!! Four very talented musicians!
