Owner description: "The Bluebird Cafe is one of the world's preeminent listening rooms and has gained worldwide recognition as a songwriter's performance space where the "heroes behind the hits" perform their own songs; songs that have been recorded by chart-topping artists in all genres of music. Located in a small strip mall outside of downtown Nashville, the tiny 85 seat venue is unassuming in appearance but some of the most significant songwriters and artists have performed on this stage.

We have been occasional visitors to the Bluebird for many years. As Atlanta residents, we would drive to Nashville for weekends. Our previous visits were great experiences. We recently moved to Seattle, so our current trip to Nashville was a big deal. Unable to get reservations, we arrived two hours before showtime and stood in line. There were 14 people... More

Hello Tom, Thanks for your comments about our your visit to The Bluebird and your experience at the venue. First of all, my sincerest apologies for your unhappy experience. We start out most nights with 10 seats at the bar and 10-12 seats in the church pews available as first come, first served seating. Sometimes we are hit with unexpected... More

We went to the Bluebird for the Sunday 6pm show which is first come first served. It's located in a non-descript mall about 6 miles outside of Nashville. Doors open at 5; we arrived at 3:30 and were first in line. The line grew quickly however. We were kept informed about the evening by a guy who thought everyone would... More

Although I'm a huge fan of the tv show Nashville, I had no idea that the Bluebird Café is a true life venue until about a month before my trip. I went on line well before the precise moment that the tickets go on sale ( 8 AM CST) optimistic and determined to get tickets. There are only 20 tables.... More

We managed to book bar seats which meant we had a really good view as we were a little higher up than everyone else. The venue is really small and people without reservations had queued for hours beforehand. Unless you're in the first 20 in line it's really not worth joining the queue. It was great hearing the stories behind... More

We waited in line for the café and wondered if it would be worth it, IT WAS! The place is small and seats limited but staff were so organized and informative that it made the experience more pleasant. They kept everyone in line informed during the wait. We choose the later performance on writers night and had a great experience.... More

Amazing talent. You must go on line to be lucky enough to get a ticket. You don't come here for the food. I ordered a turkey club which was basically a lettuce and tomato sandwich with one thin slice of turkey and one tasteless piece of bacon. However, the music was amazing plus ten.

The booking process is quite simple. One week ahead of time. We got tickets to both dates that we wanted (and it was during CMA week when we never thought we'd get seats). No need to wait on the long line of those who stand by for extra tickets. This is a very small venue (in a strip mall, away... More

I was invited to go the Bluebird last night after mentioning I was a fan of the show "Nashville". The 4 gentlemen performing were like the pillars of country song writing and just a great show. You really should book in advance, but they do have a line you can wait in if they can fit you in after everyone... More

There are only 20 seats available for reservation on their website a week before the show. If you don't get one then take your chance on getting one of the other 20 seats by standing in line. Some night they have two shows so if you don't get in for the early one you can wait in line for the... More

We tried to get reservations online and we were too late. We decided to wait in line for the early show on October 29th. We waited in line for about an hour. We were the 8th, 9th, and 10th persons in line and we lucked out getting a pew seat. We think they were the best in the café. As... More
