It’s home to blue Hyacinth Macaws, White-Cheeked Gibbons, and rare Red Pandas, among others. The Nashville zoo is worthy of a day visit with your little ones. In addition to a wide variety of live animal exhibits, there is a gorgeous, fully restored, antique carousel and a huge jungle gym. It's an easy trip down Nolensville Road; look for the Tromp L'oeil painted bridge stanchions and you'll be there!

We really enjoy doing the ghouls at grassmere. It's a well put on event with hay rides and various other activities including trick or treating stations.

Fun place to visit when you have the time, although I would suggest not doing it on an overly hot day, as it can make the experience a little difficult to deal with.

Not as many animals as I had expected. We're Cincinnati Zoo members and Cincy's zoo has a much wider variety. We did get 1/2 price for being Cincy Zoo members though. It was about 45 degrees and there were quite a few exhibits that had been 'closed due to cold weather'. They did have an area you could walk in... More

I went there with my daughter today. The zoo is currently under renovations so expect encounter some construction upon arrival. The attractions are ok, but it could be a lot better. There is a food court and the food seems appealing, but expect a long wait to pay.. There is only one cashier working and the look on her face... More

We visited on a very cold day so many of the animals were not in their enclosures because of that. This zoo doesn't have indoor viewing areas for animals like elephants or primates, as many of the larger zoos do. They also didn't bother to open any of their food options. All that was available were drinks from machines, and... More

Typical zoo with lots of stuff to look at. We arrived late in the day and had to speed through a bit, but you can do it in an hour if you power through. Particularly enjoyed seeing the giraffes and flamingoes.

This zoo does not have a large collection of animals, but is very nice to visit with small children. It is easy to watch elephants, giraffes and other animals. The territory of the zoo is rather large and if you have annual pass, you can use the zoo as an ordinary park - just for walks.

It was pretty hot when I went and I am not use to the heat so it was killing me. Even people that live in Nashville were complaining so I didn't feel to bad. The zoo is pretty fun to walk around and see all the animals. The giraffes were getting a little feisty so that was pretty hilarious when... More

The kidskin going to the Zoo in October is no exception. The Ghouls of Grassmere is a yearly event surrounded around Halloween that allows kids and adults enjoy the zoo, trick or treating, game playing, hay rides, etc. We go evey year and have a great time!
