We took our 17 month old granddaughter to the zoo one day during my fall break. I think we enjoyed it more than she did. I can't wait to take her back now that she is a little older and she should really enjoy the animals.

I have been to a lot of zoos and usually I'm so so about going to see one. You've seen one, you've seen them all. But my wife talked me into seeing the San Diego zoo a few years back and that was an amazing visit. More like a beautiful park that happens to be a zoo, also. Well, this... More

We really enjoyed visiting the zoo with our Toddler. Were impressed with the friendliness of staff and the free shows that were available. We really liked the question and answer session with the Elephant trainers.

Nashville Zoo is fairly new with modern enclosures. It could use more primates and some lions would be nice too. Even though Nashville doesn't have these animals the ones they do have are well taken care of.

Every time I travel, I try to do something involving animals. I have to say, this is one of the nicer experiences I've had! It is a bit on the small side, but you could easily spend a relaxed day here looking at a lot of really nice exhibits. The grounds are lovely and clean, and the people working there... More

We had a great time at the Nashville Zoo. The animals had great homes - their enclosures were as close to natural as you can get being part of a zoo. Lots of unique animals, a great aquarium and amphibian center. Dinosaur exhibit was great - extra cost but worth it, pretty cool to wander thru. There is a huge... More

We visited from Chicago, where we have two very nice zoos. We found this zoo to be quite nice with one of the better reptile houses I have ever seen. We saw everything, so spent most of the day there (4-5 hours w play time & lunch). Beautiful grounds with reasonable priced food and abundant eating areas. There is a... More

They have a lot of different things you can do throughout the year and animal shows. They have a huge play area for the kids. We have a membership, which is good to have if you plan on going more than once. They also have a nice café and a BBQ place to eat. You get discounts on the things... More

The Nashville Zoo is awesome!! It feels like you are walking on a safari on your way through the zoo. We went on a very hot day, I would recommend some water either way. It's a little bit of a walk through the zoo, personally I thought that the walk made it more of an experience. They had different zones... More

It is a smaller zoo, can see everything in 3 hours. But well worth the trip. Landscaping is nice and lots of animals to look at. The dino trek was great! My son absolutely loves dinosaurs, it was worth the extra $4 to go through. The food wasn't so great, next trip I would definitely pack my lunch. They had... More
