This is not a big zoo, but they work from donations. I love the areas for the elephants and giraffes. It is large and animal can move around freely. I also love the clouded leopards and tigers. The lorakettes are a special treat. If you get there earlier in the day the will fly to you to feed on little... More

Went to the zoo Sunday 2nd 2014. It didnt seem like a zoo. There wasnt many animals there and some wasnt out. We had to pay $5 for parking plus the fee to get in. The elephant pool was nice to look at and the fish and things on the inside of the building. If we are ever back in... More

This Zoo has more trails and walking than it does Animals. Layout is well planned - but does not yet have enough animals. As of 11/2014. Lots of walking. Kids were fine, but our feet were killing us - wear sneekers. Has a Carousel ride and train ride for children. $2 each. Concession stands were OK - mostly junk food... More

I have been to this zoo a few times over the years and have watched it grow into a highly enjoyable attraction! I was visiting with a Girl Scout Troop, and the zoo staff conducted educational programs for the girls as well as provided a place for them to have a bag lunch. The staff was friendly, the zoo was... We enjoy this zoo because the animals are housed in a natural setting. Being able to walk around with and have the opportunity to touch kangaroos was one of our highlights. This zoo's most outstanding attraction for our family is the amazing playground. It is world class!

We love zoos and go to the one close to wherever we are. I really was looking forward to Nashville especially after seeing the ad with a tiger and "Teeth Urban". Granted, they are doing some construction but so many animals were off exhibit. The land they have is massive and I know some other zoos that do so much... More

It isn't large but it was nice. All the animals were out and about. School field trip groups and large families were very rude and didn't pay attention to their kids very well, so the children will push you and your children out do their way so they can see. Other than that, we had a great day there. It... More

Spent the weekend in Nashville and didn't have anything planned for Sunday afternoon so we decided to go to the Zoo. We had a little bit of a hard time finding it as our GPS kept lending us to the wrong place. So we used the old school GPS we stopped and ask someone. Parking at the zoo is 5.00... More

Unfortunately, the zoo is currently under construction. Due to this, a few of the exhibits were unavailable (pretty bummed). Our favorite part was the historical farm and tour of the house. Overall it was simply okay. The walk around the zoo was lovely

This is my second visit to the Nashville zoo. Compared to other zoos I've visited, it's average at best. Expect to walk a lot between exhibits. Some animals will be so far away from you that you'll need binoculars. We saw elephants, tigers, giraffes, a few monkeys but most were difficult to see. It was a beautiful day for a... More
