We were unable to see the gallery as it never opened on Saturday June 22, 2013. The web site said it was open from 10-5. We arrived at around 11, it was not open. The Carl Van Vechten Gallery consists of works of art collected by Van Vechten and his wife Georgia O'Keefe and includes some of their work as well. Amazing stuff. This is a MUST see art gallery in TN on Fisk campus!! Great contributions, exposure and experience to Nashville community. Rich in history.

World class art in an intimate setting. Alfred Stieglitz iconic photographs pepper an amazing collection of art. It's as close as you'll ever get to a blue period Picasso painting. View Toulouse-Lautrec, Diego Rivera, Reoir, Cezanne, Demuth and Arthur Dove to name a few. As if that wasn't enough descend the stairs to a stunning African-American permanent art collection. Go....
