This area of town is obviously the place to be. We visited during lunch time and in the evening. Early afternoon was steady with people, but we were able to easily go from venue to venue without any problem. We would hear music coming out of a spot and just go check it out. In the evening, this area was... More

You have to admit, this is what Nashville is all about and what it's known for! Even non-country music lovers come to Nashville to see this! Definitely worth a walk and a visit when in Nashville!

If you are looking for a quiet stroll you will have to do it early ..... Nighttime This isn't the spot. Daytime walking around checking out all the buildings and the view of the river. If the weather permits finding a roof top place to eat and drink, lots of people doing the same. Night time, gets even louder and... More

The District has many shops and honky tonk bars and restaurants. Many have live music. Found it very enjoyable to walk the area.

This is one of the most famous Country destinations in Nashville and you might even see a celebrity. We went on the Easter holiday and it was wall to wall people with performers in every bar. This is the ultimate time to go as there are so many performers and things to do. There is a peddle tavern that drives... More

I will admit that I was completely surprised during my first visit to Nashville. I expected an average mid size city. But this small downtown, is one of the most fun downtowns I have been to. It was lively, clean, organized and packed with people having fun. Broadway had so many bars that I lost track. And all had live... More

First of all I must state that I DON'T like country music but the music venues in downtown Nashville really are amazing. We arrived in Nashville after spending 3 nights in Memphis and experiencing the massive disappointment that is Beale Street. So what an amazing surprise when we got to Nashville's nightlife. There is an overwhelming sense of ordinary people... More

There are plenty of cool places to hang out while visiting the District in Nashville. There is BB Kings, many honky tonks and neon lights. This is what makes Nashville fun to visit.

You can't say you've been to Nashville, without a stroll through The District. Go on a weeknight, and take your time, popping into a few of the venues. Or, if you're up for a bit more chaos, go on a weekend and feel the buzz of the crowd.

Just walking the streets of "The District" you get a feeling. You can see the excitement. You can hear the music. Every honky tonk has a live performer and the music waves. The street performers just wanting an audience. Everything is alive. This is the place where dreams and memories are made.
