I loved this place! We went shortly after it opened, (9am) & wasn't too busy. It told of the history of the place, even before the Grand Ole Opry came there. Right downtown too so very accessible. I'm glad they didn't get rid of it. While we were there, Rob Thomas's roadies were setting up for him to play that... More

The tour will give you a great in-sight to the origins of the Ryman and is very informative. I had taken the tour before and they have changed it since I was here last. They now have a very impressive multi-media orientation movie that gets your tour started. We choose the self guided tour and am glad we did. As... More

Several years ago we went to a performance at the Ryman. History just oozes from the place. This time while we were in Nashville we did the backstage tour, dressing rooms, etc. We learned of the many stars that had performed on the stage, i.e Bob Hope, Helen Hayes and many country stars. It is well worth the time and... More

The original Grand Ol' Opry. Take the tour, it's well worth your time. It has a rich history and all the great country artists have performed here. Our tour guide was not that knowledgeable of it's history though and she was quite condescending and rude to everyone in the group. Regardless of her, it was till very interesting.

Great acoustics but it is a old venue and there is very little leg room. to few bathrooms over 30 min wait during intermission

The video at the beginning of the tour was awesome! We purchased the self guided tour and it was a bit hard to follow but overall it provided enough information to get the full history of this magical place.

A must see in Nashville. This is the home of country music. Not only a great place but a historic landmark and filled with memories of country music legends.

My favorite of all time anywhere! Over the years, I have been to the Ryman many times and I have never been disappointed. No matter whether I am hearing traditional country, bluegrass, blues, or rock and roll, I am so appreciative of the hisorty of the venue that I cannot imagine being disappointed ever. Always easy for me to imagine/sense... More

This historic building was a lot of fun. You learn the history of the Grand Ole' Opry and see backstage. Some knowledge of country music is helpful.

The 'Mother Church' of country music we call it.. and there's a reason. There is a special vibe that the Ryman has, even if you just walk by it. But if you attend a concert, the acoustics in this venue are awesome!
