The concert we attended was fantastic and the venue is just spectacular. I stepped into the auditorium and felt like I was jolted back to the 1950/60s. I could picture Johnny Cash serenading the audience from that stage. I love the history behind the Ryman and the fact that even after renovations it remained basically unchanged. The sound was fantastic.... More

we took the tour back stage. Well worth the money and time. I envisioned my parents being in the audience when they visited there in the late 1960's. I had been there in 1977 but it has changed so much. Well worth the time and experience.

Another must see! The Ryman is a National Historic Landmark and is right at the centre of Music City It was the home of the Grand Ole Opry from 1943-1974. You can choose from a guided tour or a self-guided tour. We particularly loved the introductory video which was very cleverly done and very informative. It helped to set the... More

I loved the Ryman. I wasn't sure about spending the money to go see it, but I am so glad I did. The movie you watch at the beginning was very informative of the history of the Ryman and touring the stage made you feel like you were back in time.

I love this old house! I am moved by the legends that made music here. As a native of Tennessee and musician I count it as part of my heritage. If you are in Nashville you must stop and see it.

Husband and I took an impromptu trip to Nashville to catch a Beck concert. It was an amazing show. I would highly recommend experiencing the Ryman at a concert, not just during the day/during a tour. It really helped capture the feel of the Auditorium. It didn't hurt that Beck put on a phenomenal show, though. :)
