Excellent experience

Excellent vineyard experience. Could walk around the place to closely see the orchard. Very reasonably priced food as well.

I've dined at Montalto many many times over the years, for romantic meals/celebrations, with large and small groups and for work lunches, and it's always a delight! Modern sumptuous building overlooking the valley. Staff are incredibly efficient, very knowledgable and welcoming. Food is always stunning, wines are beautiful, have never ever had anything but a great experience here. A must... More

It was our wedding anniversary, so we chose Montalto for a celebratory lunch at the recommendation of some friends. On a Tuesday afternoon the place was fully booked, which indicated its popularity. Our table by the windows gave us a great view of the vines with their colourful autumn leaves, post grape picking. It was a foul day, bitterly cold... More

Enjoyed the food the wine, the view, service was good and friendly. Not the place if you are looking an intimate dining experience, but that didn't detract from our enjoyment. Being able to take a walk around the garden amongst the sculptures was a bonus. Bought a couple of bottles of their lovely wine and lemon infused olive oil as... More

With no reservation we headed off for a spot of wine tasting while our table was set up for us. Very helpful and quite knowledgeable lady didn't have to do a hard sell for the more expensive pinot noir and we left there happy, only to discover our table had been forgotten about. Our food took about 30 minutes to... More

Sunday lunch at Montalto. Great food, professional service and a wonderful afternoon spent wondering the vast grounds which also serves as an outdoor sculpture gallery. There is also a more family friendly and price friendly outdoor pizza and bistro type outdoor sitting area. Great for family with young children. The food was impressive both in presentations and flavor. One of... More

delicious food in a wonderful location. We loved walking around the estate admiring the sculptures. We enjoyed the friendly staff, laid back feel to the restaurant, the fine dining experience and the food. We has the veggie starters and would recommend both the ravioli and the gnocchi. The duck was delicious and generously served. The snapper was perfectly cooked. The... More

The meals we ordered where nice and the overall feel of the restaurant was good. The service was ok but not excellent. Our sides came out much later than our mains, but that was not a bit deal. Our biggest disappointment was how a complaint about a cocktail was handled. When we explained the espresso martini's were not nice and... More

Beautiful views and interesting sculpture walk. The service was extremely poor, staff showed no interest to us (maybe because we are young, maybe because we are Asian or both) but was very attentive to other. The service was extremely sloppy with wine splashing all over the place and with no discussion or explaination of what we were drinking. In hindsight... More
