Fabulous market with plenty of hand crafted items, local produce and terrific hot food. Don't miss if you are in the area.
Paid $4 to park having to walk a mile then when ready to go home waited ONE hour to get out WTF... will think twice when asked to pay to park no control. Bordering on dangerous.
This was probably our 4th visit to the market and we didn't enjoy it as much as previous visits. Appears to have gone very commercial with less emphasis on home produced and grown products. Went home disappointed.
Huge variety of food to eat there or take home including meat, vegetables, cheeses, cakes, pies, pates, chutneys, jams etc. 1000 of handmade craft goods from clothing for all ages to cards and jewellery. Great place to buy gifts. Have breakfast there - loads of yummy food and drink. Parking only $4 and it goes to Charity.
Markets ok if you're a tourist. Crowds are a pain in the bum for locals. You have to pay for parking so its best to park near the school and walk 1.5 kilometres........................................
The red hill market really is my favourite market in Victoria!! I always end up walking out (dragging my full belly) with bags of yummy new gourmet treasures! The ferry from cowes with a little bus to the market really is a new find to enhance the trip!
Everything you could probably want and some things you have probably never seen elsewhere. Locals produce food and wines, beer and lemon squash, fresh mushrooms, herbs and antipastos....lots of food Clothing, jewellery, wooden products, plants.... Excellent Market to go to family friendly.
