We enjoyed our ride at JuRo Stables. The horses were very personable, but seemed very tired. We were told that they didn't like the mud they had to walk in. We liked that they were all rescues. We would have liked to get some history from the trail guide about the horses, property, Tennessee, etc.

First of all, these folks have a beautiful location that is really easy to get to from virtually anywhere near Nashville (Franklin included). I called the evening before I wanted to ride and left a message, fully expecting to not receive a call until the next morning. What a wonderful surprise that my call was returned after 7pm to chat... The staff was so friendly, knowledgable, and eager to make you feel comfortable no matter your riding level. Molly was coordinating while Suzanna guided our tour. You get taken through beautiful feilds, lavish forest trails and more. I rode Dutchess the diva, while my two friends rode Patch and BabyDoll (who has a mind of her own) but, she's sweet... More

My husband and I wanted to spend a leisurely morning riding so a Groupon looked ideal. When we went, the guide didn't ask us about our level of experience, the trails were extremely wet (which we didn't know until we got on them) and we weren't told that the horses would NOT stay on the trails in an effort to... We regularly like to go horseback riding while on vacation. We actually found a Groupon which brought us to Juro Stables. We had a 10 am ride with a group of about 8. The staff was friendly, the horses appeared to be very well taken care of (despite what an earlier reviewer said) and the price was right. We went... More

From the JURO website: " Horseback riding for the serious minded rider or serious minded beginner / Pace & tack to suit rider / No set trails / Excellent selection of riding stock" The JURO website claims many things, including an interesting ride, one where the riders can go into open fields and step up the pace if they want.... I found Juro on Groupon, but they could not do a private ride for the Groupon price. I wanted a private ride because when we went to Natchez two years ago it was a large group, and this time it was a birthday present for my fiance. I told Juro on the phone that I wanted a private ride so... More

I am sorry I ever participated in the misery of these horses. They looked exhausted and sweaty, and were left tied and standing in the mid-day sun with saddles on. I saw one being saddled with OBVIOUS sores on his back. If this is what I saw, imagine what I didn't see. The feeling is that they're throw away animals,... More

I had never been horseback riding before and it was really great! My horse wanted to take her own path a lot which left a few scrapes from tree branches but nothing serious. It was great being out in nature. The trail was nice, a little muddy, but it was really a nice way to spend a few hours. Everyone... More

I wanted to go riding as I hadn't been in awhile and this was the first stable that popped up on google. What mostly drew me to this stables was that on the website it said you could trot and canter. When calling, the owner took down my reservations and answered my questions and I didn't get the same attitude... More
