We regularly like to go horseback riding while on vacation. We actually found a Groupon which brought us to Juro Stables. We had a 10 am ride with a group of about 8. The staff was friendly, the horses appeared to be very well taken care of (despite what an earlier reviewer said) and the price was right. We went... More

From the JURO website: " Horseback riding for the serious minded rider or serious minded beginner / Pace & tack to suit rider / No set trails / Excellent selection of riding stock" The JURO website claims many things, including an interesting ride, one where the riders can go into open fields and step up the pace if they want.... I found Juro on Groupon, but they could not do a private ride for the Groupon price. I wanted a private ride because when we went to Natchez two years ago it was a large group, and this time it was a birthday present for my fiance. I told Juro on the phone that I wanted a private ride so... More

I am sorry I ever participated in the misery of these horses. They looked exhausted and sweaty, and were left tied and standing in the mid-day sun with saddles on. I saw one being saddled with OBVIOUS sores on his back. If this is what I saw, imagine what I didn't see. The feeling is that they're throw away animals,... More

I had never been horseback riding before and it was really great! My horse wanted to take her own path a lot which left a few scrapes from tree branches but nothing serious. It was great being out in nature. The trail was nice, a little muddy, but it was really a nice way to spend a few hours. Everyone... More

I wanted to go riding as I hadn't been in awhile and this was the first stable that popped up on google. What mostly drew me to this stables was that on the website it said you could trot and canter. When calling, the owner took down my reservations and answered my questions and I didn't get the same attitude... More

We have 3 small children and took them riding... We were able to double up with our 3 & 2 year old and our 5 year old was able to ride with an instructor... The 5 year old could of rode by herself, but we chose to let her ride with an instructor since she had never done it before... More

Do not listen to the any bad reviews on Juro stables. I went with 3 friends. I ride but they are novices. I asked for a spirited horse which they were more than happy to give me. I rode Baby doll, shes small but a little wizz. I wanted to have a gallop So was sent off on my own... More

The horses are mean, most of the staff is unfriendly, and the barn manager is rude. Our guide was was a nice guy, but nothing was going to salvage my money. There are much better stables around, that obviously treat there horses better.

So, we went to Nashville and had contacted the Juro stables about a trek. On the phone and on arriving they were all lovely and very professional while also informal. The trek through the woods was beautiful and the wildlife that we saw on the way would take your breath away. So to begin with, yes I did enjoy it.... More
