We camped overnight with our 3 and 6yo who thought camping amongst the deer, kangaroo's, peacocks and ducks walking close by was amazing. A beautiful scenic zoo providing an opportunity to get really close to the zoo animals and hand feed many. We ate dinner in the undercover bbq area before lighting a bon fire and toasting marshmallows for dessert.... More

Our family camped overnight at Mansfield Zoo with two other family friends. Together there were 6 children and 6 adults. The children range from 7 to 10 years old. We all had a great time. Although it was hot during the day, the children did not seem to mind. They were having too much fun walking around the zoo looking... More

This was a fantastic night! We stayed overnight camping on the zoo grounds with our 7 yo son & friends, a family of 5 with children aged 11, 9 & 5 and we all had such a great time. We stayed in January this year, just before school started back. It was a hot day but that was fine as... More

For a country zoo there else can you see lions fed only 2 meters from you at their height. What an experience. Defiantly put this on your must see.

We are a family of four. Our daughters are 14 and 12. Whilst thinking they may have grown out of a small country zoo and what it has to offer, we were wrong. When we arrived we were overwhelmed how casual it all was. We were told to pitch our tent anywhere in the park and that we were free... More

I don't know what I would have rated the zoo if it hadn't been for the rudeness of Bronwyn the owner. We had paid alot of money on a sleepover deal for 6 people and the children were so excited. We were to be there by 4pm, sleepover in swag tents and leave at lunch the next day. Unfortunately that... More

Family run zoo/wildlife park. Friendly welcome from the owner who told us to come and go as we wished throughout the day. Really reasonable entry fee $15 and you can buy a bucket of food for the animals for $2.50. Free contact with the kangaroos who will eat out of your hand also the deer who are visitor friendly. Lovely... More

Having never been one to really enjoy the whole zoo experience (haven't been to Melbourne's for years) I was a little hesitant to divert here from our northbound trip. Glad we did, the kids really enjoyed how interactive it is with feed buckets and animals that happily wander up and say hello in very much a 'free range' atmosphere. So... More

Mansfield Zoo is one of the hidden gems in Victoria! Quaint, peaceful, beautiful and engaging. Mansfield Zoo is one of the few attractions that my children (5&3) still talk about daily... Even if it is once a year! The open space, the idyllic setting and the freedom to interact with the animals is priceless for a young family (and for... More

Thanks for letting us know how much you enjoyed your visit here. One of the things we like most about our animals is that some of them roam loose with visitors - tis great to see that is a highlight for you as well. Thanks again, Bronwen More
