Piper Street in the regional town of Kyneton has much to offer. Old buildings, an eclectic range of stores, six or more very good restaurants and an easy place to stroll for an hour or so, or spend a lazy couple of hours over lunch or dinner. The rest of Kyneton is very much down to earth and down to... More

On our last night stay in Kyneton, we decided to have a nice meal out. But where to go? We drove down "Famous" Piper Street and found the Piper Street Hotel. Inside was a restaurant called: "One Lucky Duck Ole! The menu was GREAT! We had chicken Parma & Baked Salmon with all the trimmings!...Mmmmmm Definitely worth a return visit!!!...:)

We have been visiting the beautiful Kyneton area for years and Piper St has always had a lot of charm, great food and good shopping. We usually just go up for the day, or always drop in when passing the area. We recently drove up from Melbourne for the day and had a lovely meal at Annie Smithers, but what... More

Great shopping and eating but the shops change around Kyneton all the time so if you go one year them come back the next, one shop may close and become another one/change location. Our personal favourite is a French Provincial type one that serves Portuguese housewares. The farmers' market on the 2nd Saturday of the month is a real treat.

I am a local resident and love going to Piper St for food and shopping. St Bean is a great cafe along with Inner Biscuit and Little Swallow. The Royal George is great for a nice dinner or drinks, and so is Annie Smithers. Rundell & Rundell combines drinks with shopping, and has a relaxed atmosphere. I love shopping for... More

We counted 12 restaurants and cafes along Piper Street and fab boutique shopping. My favourite being Highbury Etc a shop dedicated to sizes 16 - 22 a real spoil for we curvy girls who like to shop! A great range of labels from designers from overseas and Australia. A real surprise find in country Victoria. They also have a shop... More

Lots of choices for food and coffee. Great walk on a sunny day. If you get to visit when the market is on then it adds more atmosphere. Try Mollison and High Street also. A lovely country town.

Went on the weekend and had a lovely stroll along Piper Street and went into most of the boutique stores. People were mostly friendly and lots of things to look at or window shop. Quite pricey the stores so a little hard to be tempted especially for people that ;love to shop. The bluestone buildings and history of the street... More

this is an easy walk, along an interesting old street in Kyneton. There are good quality art and craft galleries, furnishing stores, gift shops, nic-nacks and nursery. The Museum is well worth the visit, so allow plenty of time to take in the display.
