Piper Street is the main street precinct for Kyneton. Its shops are a mix of modern style with old world classicism and a funky vibe. Original wooden lintels meet hip window displays and understated signs; restored spaces meet cool and spare, or warm and eclectic, interiors. This largely unchanged streetscape houses a surprisingly refreshing choice of shopping options and all... More

Piper street is one of the 3 main streets in Kyneton. Piper St is lined with historic buildings most with information plaques to increase your knowledge. Along the street there are numerous shops, cafes and restaurants along the way too.

Not quite sure why the Kyneton Museum doesn't have it's own listing, but it should. Piper Street itself is quite nice with lots of character and charm. We had eaten at another place around the corner, but had we got here first there was plenty of lovely looking cafes to choose from. Our main trip to the town was to... More

It would seem that later in the week more shops tend to be open. We took advantage of the food and beverage options available in the street, more so than clothes and ornaments that could be found here. Annie Smither's Bistrot is something that is a must do. The food from Dhaba at the Mill was also very tasty and... More

Did not realise the number of assorted stores in this shopping strip. Ladies clothing (which you would expect), art, craft, toys, babywear, local artisans showing skills of the past. And at the end of the strip near the Emporium was a great café serving good coffee.

nothing loved it all the shops and cafes. The Bakeries are fantastic and the eating is plentiful. We also went to local market and the produce was great also.

Somehow every year, whether planned or otherwise, we always make a trip to the Macedon ranges. Its about an hours drive north west of Melbourne and we do it for the most simplest of reasons. Just to go and see the trees. Its beautiful this time of the year. The colours just come alive and take you into a world... More
