Take plenty of water although not too hot when we went you will need it. It is busy with lots of people walking essentially the same route, but well worth the walk.

My daughters (aged 14) and I decided to take the walk to the top of the Pinnacles. We started early in the day, which was a very good idea since the trip takes around 1,5 hours with fairly good speed from the bottom to the top. We broke a lot of sweat doing the trip, but reaching the top it... More

Be careful to plan your hike in the cooler time of the day. The most spectacular views await you from the viewing platform.

I am not a fan of hikes with stairs. I prefer to scramble. Beautiful scenery. Wear proper footwear, take food and water. It can get hot up there.

The scenery here is quite majestic - someone described the distant mountains as like waves on the sea and they are. There is a wonderful peace and serenity here

The walk from the sundial carpark is easy for a little way then quiet hark to the top. Quiet a few steps then rocky boulders to climb. not for the unfit or even average person will find it quiet hard to get to the top. When there tho it is a great view. But very similar views can be had... More

Just a tip for parents with kids or small kids, wear proper shoes, take water, as you come back down from the Grand Canyon or the Pinnacle via the bush track it can get tricky so stick to the yellow arrows or you could get lost like us.

This is the second time I've walked to the Pinnacle although I'm now twenty years older. I really love this walk and the views from the top are breathtaking. It's a little challenging if you're walking on a hot day but otherwise is very achievable for most people. Just make sure you take fluids with you for the walk.

It is a serious hike from one of two car parks, involving lots of stone steps but well worth the effort. We went on sunset and had the place to ourselves.
