Description: The NED KELLY MUSEUM is part of KATE'S COTTAGE GIFTS SOUVENIRS MUSEUM...
The NED KELLY MUSEUM is part of KATE'S COTTAGE GIFTS SOUVENIRS MUSEUM & replica of the KELLY HOMESTEAD. Step through back of shop to the NED KELLY MUSEUM and an authentic replica of the Kelly Homestead... like the words of the song ... truly the "ramshackle hut" . Excellent historic coverage of the Kelly era. Rated 'The Best Ned Kelly Museum" by Getaway and featured on their show at least three times. Somehow this one business has two separate listing for TripAdvisor reviews. Would you kindly take the time to review both KATE'S COTTAGE and the NED KELLY MUSEUM ? Thanks to all travellers who took the time to review us.

Thanks so much for taking the time to review us. I do hope that you picked up the free map about the history of the Kelly Gang fight with the police at Glenrowan. We are only 2 1/2 hours from Melbourne and about 55 minutes drive to the NSW border towns of Albury Wodonga and lucky to live and work... More

We went here on our way to Melbourne. We all enjoyed it and didn't mind paying a minimal cost for family to have a look. Very interesting for the kids and the gift shop has a lot of stuff. We bought a newspaper type book of Ned kelly for around $7 - great for school projects.

Thank you for taking the time to review us. It is very valuable for us but even more so for the traveling tourist to see what is about. The book that you bought from the shop would be Ned Kelly in pictures. We have been selling it for nearly 30 years. It is great for children and adults. It stayed... More

Loved the collection of memorabilia here and the history. The house replica is amazing and I could have spent a fortune in the gift shop. Stopped on the way thru to Albury with friends, but I'd love to bring my kids to see Neds life!

Hi Thank you very much for your glowing reports. We have had a very busy holiday season with record numbers going through our museum and visiting the "ramshackle hut" ...as the song goes. Glenrowan is only 1/2 minutes drive off the Hume Freeway so makes for a convenient stop. Thanks again Chris, Rod, Lee & Diane of Kate's Cottage Gifts,... More

We haven't been through here for many years, so decided to stop in Glenrowan for a day, to do some reminiscing of the local sights and food. The Ned Kelly Museum is part of Kate's Cottage. It is worth the $6 P/P entry fee to see the replica of the Kelly homestead and the Ned Kelly museum display, which is... More

Museum very reasonably priced and has lots of information and early Australian memorabilia from Ned Kelly era. Great to walk down the road and over the bridge to seize street where it all happened. Nice to see small country town that really needs tourists to keep it going. Good for all the family Gift shop too overpriced. Only a few... More

Thank you for taking the time to review us. It is very valuable for both tourists and ourselves. The museum and the "ramshackle hut" get great reviews. The talking cockatoos just love the attention. We have the largest range of Ned Kelly souvenirs covering all price ranges. In the past 18 months we have had the biggest overall price rises... More

After leaving Albury, on the 2nd day of our road-trip, we realised that we needed some nutrition so, by chance, I pulled into Glenrowan which I knew had a museum from the freeway signage but it didn't volunteer that it was one showcasing Ned Kelly. However, once we entered this quaint town it was obvious, by the giant Ned Kelly... More

Thank you for taking the time to review us. Regarding the lighting in the homestead/ 'Ramshackle hut" . I will get the boys to check it out as a globe may have blown. We try to present our souvenirs at a good price but it depends sometimes if the item has been bought in bulk or just a couple of... More

We had a great visit to this really well organised and very interesting attraction. Lots of great info and it wasn't "tacky" like some of these places can be. A must if you're going through Glenrowan.

That is LOVELY to hear. Even though it has been a very hot holiday season we have had heaps of people through and some great conversations on the whys and wherefores of Ned Kelly history. Re price we don't put up prices for the holiday season...we stay the same all year round which makes it affordable especially for families. We... More

Great value, friendly owners, interesting Ned Kelly history. Avoid going to the Ned Kelly Story attraction down the road, it's expensive and terrible. The museum is much better in content and value for money.

Thank you for your review. We have had heaps of people through the shop and museum display this holiday. A stand out was all of the internationals, those living here as well as visiting who were drawn to view and understand why we have such a display about a bushranger. The fact that were was a royal commission into the... More
