Description:

The NED KELLY MUSEUM is part of KATE'S COTTAGE GIFTS SOUVENIRS MUSEUM...

The NED KELLY MUSEUM is part of KATE'S COTTAGE GIFTS SOUVENIRS MUSEUM & replica of the KELLY HOMESTEAD. Step through back of shop to the NED KELLY MUSEUM and an authentic replica of the Kelly Homestead... like the words of the song ... truly the "ramshackle hut" . Excellent historic coverage of the Kelly era. Rated 'The Best Ned Kelly Museum" by Getaway and featured on their show at least three times.

Somehow this one business has two separate listing for TripAdvisor reviews. Would you kindly take the time to review both KATE'S COTTAGE and the NED KELLY MUSEUM ? Thanks to all travellers who took the time to review us.

Visited here with my 2.5yo and 8yo sons. They absolutely loved it! The 8yo loved all of the artefacts inside the museum, and enjoyed learning what they all were, and what they were used for especially as he hadn't seen many of the items before. Once we headed outside the 2.5yo was in his element - he particularly enjoyed locking... More

Thank you for taking the time to give us such a lovely detailed review. Any travellers would find this very valuable. We have seen all different types of parenting. Those who take the time to explain and educate their children about our history are raising interested and informed little people and then there are those who are in and out... More

This is really well done and worth a visit. The staff were friendly and helpful and the attention to detail with the history and chronology of events was excellent. The re-creation of the old homestead out the back was really well done. The price is reasonable for what has been put in to it.

Thank you for taking the time to review us. When you visit the replica of the old Kelly homestead...it is definitely a ramshackle hut like the words of the song. One lady said to me that " Mrs Kelly would have been house proud and not like that". One of the old relis told me not to be tempted to... More

Interesting museum with lots of details on the life and career of Ned Kelly. I suggest you allow sufficient time to read all the information and have a good look at the many exhibits. The $6 entry fee is a bargain and make sure you go out through the back door and examine the rest of the artefacts. The front... More

Hi Michael Thanks for giving such a well detailed review. This is very valuable for us as well as your fellow travellers. Many times people do not allow sufficient time to do the display justice... so that is good advice. Much appreciated Chris More

The Ned Museum was outstanding!!!! So informative and wonderful to see such detailed history on our iconic bushranger! The museum was clean and easily the most detailed exhibit I have ever seen on Ned Kelly! The homestead transported me back to an era of the colonial times and gave me a sense of the hardships they had at that time.... More

I do remember you coming through and trust that you arrived home safely to humid Broome. We did at least give you a variety of weather here! Hot, cold and everything in between. The best times that we have in our business is when you strike someone who is really interested in the details of the story and ask interesting... More

Thank you for your kind review ... we keep our prices fair so that it is affordable for families. Glad that you enjoyed your visit and that the kids had a good time. If they are having a good time so is Mum & Dad. The talking cockatoos are a treat and really put on a show for the kids... More

We went as a family of 5 after being told that "we are the number 1 place on trip advisor", we handed over our $15 (total cost) and entered the museum. Well the kids showed about 2 mins of interest as we made our way through the mini museum. Was informative but wouldn't rush back or recommend it to friends... More

I'm a bit confused at your response!. The Ned Kelly museum takes up two rooms with the story running clockwise in sequence around the two rooms. Through a big heavy door you then access the replica of the Kelly Homestead as it used to look in Ned Kelly's day out at Greta / Glenrowan West. Beyond that is a blacksmith... More

Lots of reading to do with the information display and the Kelly cottage was very intersesting. Not a lot to see but I think everything you would imagine seeing there was there. So if you are interested in the Kelly family history and te problems faced by the Irish vs the police well worth stopping in. The whole town was... More

Our son was very keen to visit Glenrowan to see the history of Ned Kelly on our way to Melbourne, so we stopped for a few hours to check it out. It was very interesting, lots of great information to read and lots of history on display. For the price of $6 for adults and $1 for children, well worth... More

We have a lot of school children visit our Museum and Kelly homestead display and it is just great to see that in over thirty years here we see their interest in the Kelly story still growing. The cockatoos are always a great attraction to all age groups. Thanks for taking the time to review us. Enjoy your holiday Cheers... More

We came to the Ned Kelly Museum after unfortunately visiting the Ned Kelly Story a few doors away which in our opinion was over the odds in price and gave no proper history. This Ned Kelly museum costs $6 entry and is situated within Kate's Cottage. There is a lot of information to digest with some photos and memorabilia, although... More

I was surprised by the amount of information and history on display. The lady at the front counter was polite and very helpful with any questions. A lot of work has gone into this little museum.
