Description: The NED KELLY MUSEUM is part of KATE'S COTTAGE GIFTS SOUVENIRS MUSEUM...
The NED KELLY MUSEUM is part of KATE'S COTTAGE GIFTS SOUVENIRS MUSEUM & replica of the KELLY HOMESTEAD. Step through back of shop to the NED KELLY MUSEUM and an authentic replica of the Kelly Homestead... like the words of the song ... truly the "ramshackle hut" . Excellent historic coverage of the Kelly era. Rated 'The Best Ned Kelly Museum" by Getaway and featured on their show at least three times. Somehow this one business has two separate listing for TripAdvisor reviews. Would you kindly take the time to review both KATE'S COTTAGE and the NED KELLY MUSEUM ? Thanks to all travellers who took the time to review us.

Driving from Melbourne to Sydney we made a point of stopping at GlenRowan. Unfortunately time was very limited and we had to rush through the museum, small but full of information. I would have liked more time there. The replica of the Kelly's home was good, it gave an insight to how they lived and it had a feel of... More

This is well worth a visit if you are in the area. Very cheap and very informative. We were in a bit of rush so didn't really take the time to appreciate things, but please do stop in here.

Thanks for taking the time to review us. If you are coming back this way in the next month let me know and you can go back through for free. It is a pity to have to rush off but that is life. Some folks are in the museum for over an hour and want to come back again and... More

We loved this little museum and replica cottage. We spent a good while reading the various educational pieces on the walls, and felt a little better informed about what had actually occurred to create such an infamous character as Ned Kelly. Lots of photos, posters and knick knacks to cast your eyes over, and fascinating of course are the period... More

I am SO sorry that our cockatoos were not talking to you on your visit. They really do and sometimes say things they that should not. It is the school holidays and maybe they are just over it! On evening they are at their best...and you cannot shut them up. So glad that you enjoyed your visit., Glenrowan is just... More

It was not a major attraction buy we enjoyed the experience. There has been a lot of heart and lung be putting this show together.

Hi Judy Sorry I did not quite understand your review but I think that you may have meant that we have put a lot of "heart and soul" not heart and lung into our museum....that would be right then. We are often adding new information as it comes to light. We get some really great reviews and currently are number... More

A logical stop off between Melbourne and Canberra / Sydney, Glenrowan is the key location in the story of Ned Kelly. The museum is a welcoming and friendly experience with lots of information and background to the Kelly family and the events which took place in the town. Well worth the meagre $6 entrance fee and don't forget to say... More

Thanks for taking the time to review and recommend us. The cockatoos will be insulted however having been mistaken for cockatiels...especially Howard with his big ego. We never raise our costs over the holidays as some have to as we get good trade most of the year around so is a fair price at $6.00 for adults and $1. for... More

This is a basic museum with a lot of items that don't necessarily relate to the story. The town itself is very passionate about the Ned Kelly story and it is well worth the stop over on the highway to have a look, but it's not worth the $6 for this museum

We are really sorry that you did not enjoy our display. Were you the ones on Tuesday that were in and out in 5 minutes? If so that is disappointing as you didn't give yourselves time to see everything. A review like this is very disconcerting for us as we have just won a Certificate of Excellence 2015 ( Trip... More

The whole museum including Kates Cottage ( from which the entry to the museum is possible) is about the area of medium sized suburban home and land...not a bad thing as this place is set out so well Start to your left and work clockwise...halfway through you exit out the wooden door (make note of the door handle on the... What a wonderful though review!. This is very helpful for our travelling visitors and helpful us to know that we are on the right track. Our lovely old peacock... his name was Big Bird though he was not yellow... has since died at the amazing age of 26 years. I don't know how long they usually live for but he... More

This museum is good for all ages. Ned Kelly replica house was most interesting to look at. Even the singing voice that Ned would sing and at the back there is like a small workshop that he made his armour The real musty smell of the past. Displaying clothes of the past. Rare insight of Australian past. Very interesting. If... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to review us. We deliberately keep our Museum and Homestead entrance fees the same all of the year around rather than increase them during holiday seasons. This, then makes it affordable to all at $6.00 Adults and $1.00 for school kids up to 16 years. Our bus and group visits are $3.50... More
