I spent a weekend at the Caves Accommodation and camping area with a friend. We stayed in an onsite cabin. The park was beautiful with lots of trees changing to autumn colours (stayed in late March). The area was clean and lots of wildlife around, including kangaroos, goannas, native birds and even a lyrebird on the waterfall walk. The cabin... More

I returned to the Buchan Caves Reserve for the first time in 25 years and it still looks and smells exactly as I remember from childhood. The reserve and camp ground is a fantastic area. Clean, fresh, and well looked after, with all the modern amenities you need for camping. We did a day trip from Lakes Entrance - less... More

We got to see the Fairy and Royal caves and glad we did. Some of the best caves we have seen in Australia and overseas. A little tight in some places and if you are 6 foot tall you will be crouching down a LOT. Our guide was great. Definitely a worthwhile trip from Lakes Entrance if you are there.... More

It was a beautiful drive there. The caves are easily accessable although there is some bending inside the caves. Public proximity to the formations could not be closer. Kids and adults alike will really enjoy. There is fairy dust in the fairy cave! :)

Set in beautiful landscape, have a bit to eat and journey into 1 or both of the caves. I was amazed, truely beautiful. On the way back to the car our NZ visitor got to see a hugh grey kangaroo jump in front of us. Great place well worth the trip.

I am a tourist from Germany. Place was incredible and it was well maintained and it's worth to go with kids for educational purpose. I presume some geologist are working there for research. Guides were knowledgeable - but my guides at my tour time was awful and he had no sense of humour. He asked mother with baby to go... More
