great showers, park and playground. The cafe and restaurant really complete the experience. All just 20 minutes from the city.

very nice small garden with toilets/showers/lockers and an awesome playground. You can have picnics, fishing, swimming - easy parking and bus stop is close. Cafe is at the ex-military ground and near plunge diving...

These gardens are accessible for all, though we walked from Bradleys Head. A great place to enjoy a coffee overlppking Chowder Bay.

Such a beautiful patch of green surrounded by forest and water. Very peaceful. We had a great rest here from our Taronga Zoo walk.

We got a bus to Chowder Bay near Mosman and walked around to the beach at Clifton Gardens. This is a beautiful secluded spot with a wharf, children's playground, netted swimming beach and picnic facilities.

Looked across from Chowder Bay and saw a beautiful and peaceful bay , tranquil spot away from the hustle and bustle - great spot to escape for family picnics etc.

When in Sydney, this is truly a place to be on any day. There is lots of attractions here, so no desperation on a rainy day. Firstly, for parents there is always a freshly brewed coffee near by. The rest and lost of it, is just for kids. The water place with an easy and safe access, lots of rides,... More

We discovered Clifton Gardens while walking from Taronga to the Gunner's Barracks. What a great spot for a picnic. The beach is very child friendly and the water crystal clear. Excellent for swimming. Walkers have it for free but if you drive you have to pay for parking.

One of Sydney's nicest areas, it is almost secluded and difficult to find if you only plan on a short visit Thanks to the Council's parking fees, it can be a deterrent but it is a very appealing parkland and garden setting.

We stumbled across this park at the bottom of a winding road that ended in a large car park. The children raced to the playground and loved every part of it - particularly the sand under the different activities. There is a wonderful little cafe at the end of the park as well as a restaurant if that is what... More
