Although this place was the filming place of a show called "Gavin & Stacey", I didn't spend much time looking at the sets, I spent more time looking at kids. I even managed to get one back into my van! We had fun playing with sausages...

Wanted to here just for the Gavin and Stacey angle. Very pretty but completely run down. I see money is being spent on it and Im sure it will be amazing when finished. We had to have chips and they were great! Leave it a year or so if you are thinking of a visit.

Barry Island was a bit of a novelty for me as I've seen Gavin & Stacey and I absolutely loved it! My family are Welsh and they are a bunch of nutters but I love them! lol

I haven't seen Gavin and Stacy so Barry doesn't have that significance for me but those connections were clearly visible if you are a fan of the show. On a nice sunny day, I was quite impressed with Barry. It had beautiful well maintained gardens/ sea front area with palms. It was litter free and very nice to look at.... More

As the weather was good yesterday, my husband and I picked up my grandson from school in Cardiff and headed to Barry Island. He loves it there so with his sister with us as well we loaded up the car with the buckets, spades and his 'digger' toys to spend some time on the beach. There were still lots of... More

A little trip out as I wanted to know what the famous barry island was like. Maybe I should have checked on here first as I really have little to add to the latest reviews and can confirm that they are right. The funfair was shut or if it wasn't was derelict and no one was around although the gates... More

Not many rides and very expensive. Go to Coney Beach at Porthcawl where there are lots of amusement park rides and a lot cheaper!

Nothing special but very pricey, what out every ride is 2,3 or 4 tokens, and they sell them in package deals 7 and 15 obviously knowing if you have more than one child that wants to go on the same ride you need to buy 2 lots of tokens.
