Not much here but one of my favourite places, the countryside next to the beach, take a picnic and enjoy the quiet surroundings( except on a bank holiday).

Porthkerry park is a super park full of open spaces, woodland and beach walks. There is a cafe on site for those who want to eat out but the lush green parkland screams picnic to me. Lots of car parking a available at a charge of £2.50 and don't forget the mini golf course and the beautiful viaduct..

I had a few hours to spare and wanted to stretch my legs. Walked through the park enjoying the daffy and the primroses. A lovely break from the town.

We love Porthkerry. It has that lovely tranquillity about it. In the spring the bluebells are magnificent up in the wooded area. The beach completes it.

Muddy, paths too narrow, loads of dogs everywhere and small children lobbing rocks on the beach. Depressing.

Near mother and father in laws. Lovely park with nice walks to the see. Great green area, woods, lovely spring flowers. Nice cafe there now but parking a bit expensive. Well kept park and a little jewel.

I had just popped down to Porthkerry Park with a colleague of mine on an Autumn day. We saw the Park Cafe was open, and feeling peckish, we stopped for lunch and take in the view of the park and its surrounding area; it was well worth the effort and to think its just on our doorstep and we had... Nice park, lovely walks, miniature golf, and a cafe. A pebble beach for a walk to enjoy the sea air. a good place to spend a summer's day, or for a brisk walk in winter.

On a warm day the park is brilliant for all the family, tents are pitched, barbecues are lit and ball games are played, there is also a long pebbled beach running along one side of the park ideal for swimming and fishing, care would need to be taken as strong currants can run in the Bristol channel, surrounding the park...
