Went on a school trip with 60 5 year olds and it was fab! We booked a ranger led den building activity which was very well organised and the lady was so friendly and good with the children. Lovely play park and gorgeous woodlands and pebble beach. Nice little cafe there too and loads of picnic benches and places to... More

I have been to Porthkerry Park a couple of times. First went here with my school to absolute loved it here, so I brought my family here and we had a lovely peaceful picnic in the countryside. There is also a nice pebbly beach which the dogs loved. We also went for a nice long walk through the forestry! Last... More

Porthkerry Country Park is a great place to go for a trip to the park, a picnic or even a day out. I travelled there with a group of friends, and the place had much to offer. The park is very beautiful with its large grassy fields, the forests surrounding it and the pebble beach which is just a short... More

Lovely park with plenty of space for picnics, bbq and playing with the kids. There is no charge for entering the park. Just at the end of the park is a lovely pebble beach with lovely cliffs and views. There is a woodland walk which I think also takes you to the top of the cliffs. There is a lovely... More

Porthkerry Country Park is everything you expect including a pebble beach, woods, pitch and put golf course and an excellent cafe. There are many places to walk and explore or just relax. You can drive into the park and there are plenty of parking places. There is now a cycle route through the park that links Barry to Porthkerry and... More

This is a great place to take young children with wide open space plus a walk through the woodland but a beach.

Having been born and raised in Barry, I've enjoyed countless days at this park. Now as a visitor, living abroad, I still enjoy returning to Porthkerry. If you enjoy nature, removed from any type of tourist setting, then this is an ideal spot. Walk your dog, reflect on life on a pebble beach, hike on grassy land or in wooded... More

Lovely park, it has something for everyone, open spaces for ball games, and dog walking, children's play area, pitch n put golf, a beautiful viaduct, plenty of parking, a nice walk down to the sea, and all very well maintained, I had the most scrummy ice cream from the cafe, definitely worth going back for.....

Great place to have picnics, plenty of room for the children's ball games, large varied woodland area with plenty of marked pathways to explore. Golf, caffe, clean toilets everything for a great day with the children at minimum cost.

Huge fields to play ball sports, barbecue area and a nice clean beach are just some of the benefits at the park. There are forest walks and great views of Victorian viaducts which really do make me smile, they built to last with elegance back then. There is also a lovely cafe called the forest cafe which is a branch... More
