This is a fantastic place to spend an afternoon or perhaps even the whole day with some friends or family. It's most popular on weekends - especially during the summer months (there is a small charge for parking during these months) - a real classic for locals and also worth a visit for tourists in these parts. Porthkerry is a great country park with its own beach. Always love visiting the park although the cafe is closed this time of year.

I love living near this country park, it is a very lovely place to visit. There is a lovely cafe and a lodge which you can hire for Birthdays etc. There's lots of land, streams, forests and a pebbly beach; such a lovely place to go for a walk, though the trails do get rather muddy during winter season. There... More

I've visited many times to walk my dogs. It's a really beautiful place to walk, exploring the hidden paths through the woods and up towards the airport. One downside is that the woodland paths get very muddy during the winter. Another is the car parking. Free most of the year but on summer weekends you are required to pay.

I have visited Barry so many times and didn't know this park existed until I saw a photo of the viaduct and wondered where it was. So while I was staying in the Premier Inn in Barry I put the postcode into my phone and it took me on a 5 minute drive to the entrance, which is hidden between... More

Godd green open space enclosed in woodland and the sea. Viaduct to the rear, it is ideal for picnics, games, walking and everything else. stream and pond life experience water features. Pitch and put golf. picnic tables . beach and sea side. Parking good at the entrance or by the excellent cafe.

Lovely and interesting place to visit! Took a long walk on the beach and under the viaduct. Beware of the snakes though! Apparently there are some, since we saw a warning sign.
