My sister and I spent a pleasant and informative hour with the owner ... who was kind enough to stay open beyond his usual 5:00 p.m. closing time to explain the exhibits. Loved it because we were able to touch everything, and it was fascinating to read through a ration book. Could have spent longer there. Definitely worth a visit.

we visited the tin shed in the week when filming was in process for the dylan thomas film so several of the exhibits were not available but this was more than made up for by the enthusiasm of the staff who were very friendly and informative. The exhibits we did see were amazing and a briliant example of all kinds... More

A real waste of my time, sad exhibition and not worth the admission fee. Go to the castle instead well worth it.

If you're at all interested in this period of history then you just have to go. This is a reasonably small collection set-up by local people with a genuine interest in what they do. There are some great exhibits from the world wars and the early 20th century but the thing I really really liked is the fact that everything... More

the chap running this place obviously does so based on his passion for what he does. Its a tiny place filled with WW2 memorabilia which came from his own collection. most museums just leave you to it but on arrival you get a friendly greeting along with an in depth explanation of any or all items in display. interesting and... After visiting the castle I wandered up the main street to this museum I had spotted on driving in. So glad I did. The owners were welcoming, and whilst one was free to wander around alone, they were great at sharing their knowledge or the area and its people in wartime. Really interesting collection of uniforms, weapons, photos etc and... More

Although the web site suggests that entry is free (it asks for a "small donation") there is in fact a charge for entry. Based simply on the fact that this is not advertised until you get there (and in our case when we were half way through the visit) we felt the experience should be commented upon slightly negatively. That... More

We visited the Tin Shed with members of our hot rod club "Cleavers Auto Butchers " and were greeted with an enthusiastic welcome,we must have been there for over three hours. The shed is crammed wit all sorts of wartime memorabilia each with its own story which was personally explained to us by the owners. Many thanks for the tea and... More
