This little railway line is pure magic. I visited it during a stay in Wales in summer 2008. The staff were extremely friendly, and always happy and managed to deal with every enquiry. The line is about 7 miles long, and it takes about 2 and a half hours to do a round trip from one end to the other.... more

To be honest, I had not planned on visiting the Tal-y-Llin on this trip to Wales. We had spent a couple of days at Ffestiniog, and drove to Aberystwyth to ride the Vale of Rheidol Railway.
