If castles interest you this is probably a must - claimed to be the most 'technically perfect in Britain' it gives a real sense of how castle architecture developed to improve defences. You get a feel for how it might have been to both attack and defend such a place. Great for children - lots of the walls can be... More

This is one of the best castles we have visited. Lots of passageways and rooms to explore. Beautiful filled moat and lovely grassy areas to sit and admire!

Visited the castle on recommendation from a friend, we weren't disappointed. For the small entrance fee we were expecting a lot less! So much of the castle still stands & you get a real feel for what it would've been like being there during battle. Worth a look!

Beaumaris seemed a bit too touristy when we got there - the car parks were massive. The castle itself is impressive although everyone was packing up at the end of the day when we arrived. There had been a series of re-enactment tents. That left the place pretty much to ourselves. There were explanation boards but somehow they didn't really... More

Awesome castle to visit - love the fact that you can walk along the ruined battlements and inside the castle walls. Fantastic historical attraction.

Fantastic ruined 'concentric' castle from the time of Edward 1. Amazing construction, easily accessible and some very informative displays. Well worth a visit!

WOW! We absolutely LOVE this castle! Picturesque moat with water and swans!!! We enjoyed walking along the outer wall and imagining what it was like back in the days. We spend hours exploring each area and noticing how they stacked stones into arches, staircases, doorways, and vaulted ceilings. This is truly magnificent! As I was walking through the hallways near... More

Have been to this castle about 5 times now with friends and family, and it is a reliably good day out. Lots of fun for big kids with many places to explore and ascend. If you can get up to the top levels of the castle, there is a very good view over to the mainland. This summer there were... More
