The Home of the Blues comes alive on this city tour aboard Memphis' only music bus. See Beale Street, Sun Studio, Stax Records, the Lorraine Motel, movie locations and more, but the music is the difference on this tour. All of Backbeat Tours' guides are Memphis musicians, who play and sing selections from the city’s rich musical heritage, along with generous helpings of comedy and audience interaction. Ninety minutes of high-energy fun!

My wife and I took this tour with a guide who was very knowledgeable and could sing old rock and roll pretty well. We saw the Memphis sites and of course the rock and roll sites. Everyone had a good time and it got us into the mood of the fifties and the excitement of early rock and roll.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Dillon was terrific tour guide and a wonderful singer. The sing-a-longs were fun. Even my tone-deaf husband had a good time! A wonderful way to get the low-down on Memphis in a short period of time from a talented native who clearly loves his city! We also took the Sun City Studios... More

We generally don't do the really "touristy" tours, but this one seemed interesting and we wanted to go over to Sun Records anyway. The tour is interactive where a singer with a guitar sits at the front of the bus and mixes in some songs along with pointing out the different interesting musical places. If you don't like clapping and... More

The tour was not what we expected. A little singing. A lot of riding around, talking and oh I forgot to tell you on the last street we passed ______ but we were busy talking so you didn't get to see it. Maybe it depends on who is your tour guide.

The good: If you like the guys of the Million Dollar Quartet and their music this will be the tour of your life. If you really like them make sure you book the tour and the following visit to the Sun Record Studios. The tour guide will not only tell you interesting details about Elvis and Co. but also give... This was the most fun, you got to sing along with a live musician and see all the notable sites in Memphis, leaves from BBKings' on Beale Street. You can ask to take the Sun Studio's tour also, but I didn't know that -- the check in staff seemed hurried and unable to adequately serve in a hectic process. If... More

Absolutely loved this tour from the moment I saw the bus. We had a young lady called Catherine who as well as giving us all the local history & information, played guitar and had us joining in on Elvis, Johnny Cash & Jerry Lee Lewis songs and a few others throughout the 1.5 hour Memphis Tour. We were also supplied... More

Did the 3 hr Mojo Tour of Memphis and all I can say is Exceptional! Young lady was giving us all the info in between singing Elvis, Cash, Jerry Lee songs along the way. Included was a 45 min tour of Sun Records and this is the American version of Abbey Road! A MUST SEE.....

I highly recommand the Mojo Tour. a great experince: it's a lots of fun, entertaining, information ( good ones). Eric Hugues plays good music, gives us good info about Memphis. We had a good overview of Memphis. Just a Word: book it and enjoy it!

I really didn't enjoy this, but it was well organized. I was hoping to see much more, but the bus just drives by and we never got off the bus for pictures or anything. Disappointing. However, the staff is nice just wish I had known more about the tour before signing up. You are much better off just going to... More
