Attended a family member's wedding here. Bar and dancing in the pavilion, and dining in the nature center building. Perfect for a fall wedding! Can't wait to return to browse the grounds at leisure. A real gem.

We really enjoy taking our Grandkids to the Nature Center. It is a wonderful place for them to not only observe but, to learn about all things nature. The small, quiet atmosphere encourages them to actively participate in the many activities that are available to them. I suggest going early in the morning before the summer heat sets in. Don't... Lichterman Nature Center is a lovely oasis of quiet and beauty in the heart of a big city. The best times to visit are when it's not too hot and not too cold. Spring and autumn are beautiful seasons in Memphis, so this is a great time to visit LNC. Be sure to allow time to check out the different... More

This would be a great place for families with small children or multiple children that might be overwhelmed by the zoo. It is small, with live caged animals as well as stuffed animal exhibits.

We took our family here for a quick summer getaway. Will you try to come at least every 2 years. We probably would not come as often if they did not offer free summer admission for the whole summer if you sign up sign up at the end of May. (you sign up on the Pink Palace website for the... More

I was here for a child's birthday party & thought that it was beautiful, informative, interactive & fun for the kids & adults! Lot's of beautiful walking trails, photo opportunities, live animals to see & places to sit & enjoy nature.

Beautiful, beautiful serene place in the middle of congested Memphis. My little one loves nature centers, parks, hands on things and she loves it. We visited as free visitors on a Tuesday afternoon, it wasn't too crowded. A Pink Palace Museum and the nature center are included in a membership, both could justify paying that amount. WATCH OUT FOR POISON... More

This is very nice nature center. Large, clean, lots of buildings and gazebos to sit and rest. The most amazing huge lotus pond with gigantic flowers. Truly an amazing board walk thru the lotus pond. Interactive things in main building for children. Nice walking trails.

A nice place to take a walk and have a picnic lunch. The nature center was well-maintained and the staff were very friendly. We enjoyed seeing the live animals.

We've been members for years and frequent the Lichterman Nature Center often but our most recent visit was a disappointment... We picked up sandwiches and planned a picnic and brought our GPS to get the new geocaches there. We checked in with the desk to provide our membership card and request the sheet of coordinates for the geocaches (they don't... More
