There for a banquet. Very organized layout. Would be great for an outdoor experience. Parking is not a problem. It is a little out of the way for tourists, however locals should visit.

Nature trails and Interpretive center, very well maintained. The lotus-covered lake is beautiful. Plentiful free parking and helpful employees/volunteers.
Lichterman is a gem of a park in the middle of Memphis. Very peaceful, wonderful trails and ponds, tons of birds to see and hear. A great combination of education and fun.

Gorgeous grounds. I cant seem to time it right though. Every time without fail there is a group of school kids on field trip. Oh well, lol
Lichterman is a really nice peaceful area - nature walk, lily pads on the lake. Ducks, wildlife. Beautiful grounds.
This is a great place to escape from the city, right in the city. There are lakes and trails through the woods, and the welcome building is really nice- great venue for weddings, etc.

There are many attractions in Memphis, and I found out about the Lichterman Nature Center while visiting the new Tennessee Welcome Center in downtown Memphis, which is easy to reach when you take the first exit off of the I-40 Bridge as you are coming in from Arkansas. Although many people would prefer to see Elvis Presley's home, or Beale...
