The trolleys are currently not running due to renovation of the streets. However the buses are running the routes of the trolleys. You can purchase an all day ticket for 3.50 pp

There no longer is any trolley in Memphis. Service has been assumed by city buses, which by the way are very efficient, clean and extremely courteous to tourists. If you want transportation... well four stars. But, no trolley.

I hate that the trolley is no longer here. I love the trolley especially at night it is so romantic My great way to break in a new date by ending the night with a nice trolley ride around Riverside Dr.

it's not running the whole city, it connects the main points of the down town . Unfortunately it doesn't run very often but it's a very good way to see the city as it passes through the nicest places

Ride for just a buck. Tour downtown and experience Memphis from a trolley. We rode it about 6 times. Reliable and on time. Clean. Friendly drivers! Easiest way to Beale

If you're here to sight-see and you're staying downtown, you won't need your car the whole time you're here. Cheap to use-- $1 a ride or $3.50 for an all-day pass-- and you don't really even have to know where you're going. The drivers are friendly and if you just tell them where you're headed they will just stop and... More

Unfortunately, the trolleys have been broken for several months now, and it looks like they may never return. The city has started running buses along the trolley lines, which is convenient, and the buses are very nice and new and clean, but of course, it's not nearly as much fun.

The Trolley is a great, safe way to get from the hotel area to the downtown Beale Street area without having to worry about parking a car. It is clean, fast and inexpensive. We rented a car when we were in Memphis and if we had known about this method of transport, we would not have rented a car.

The trolley is great to ride up and down through downtown. The one issue with Memphis is the very high number of panhandlers and aggressive beggars. They are around the trolley all the time. Use the innovative "parking meter" style of donating to local charities instead of giving directly to the panhandlers.
