Memphis Blues Festival on August 30 was along the main street trolly line. A terrific afternoon and evening attraction with local artists tending their paintings while bands played on several stages. Free Blues performances from a wide-range of bands. The MetalWork Museum had a live exhibition for entertainment, too.

Seems like the services have been suspended. Fingers crossed that it will return. Living downtown is a fun experience and riding the trolley is an extra part of that. Whenever I'm out working out, I would pass these cool trolleys all over main. Hope to see them again.

Came ready to enjoy, nothing jumped out on any of the tourist or MATA web sites to say were not working. Sadly the bus replacement does nothing for me. Ended up driving to attraction and sites or walking in the baking heat. Gutted

What a great way to get around downtown. We stayed on a few times and just enjoyed the sceneries and the sounds. The weather was beautiful and that just made it even nicer. Next time we will get a weekend pass for sure.

Really enjoyed riding the trolley system...nice slow way to have a look at the waterfront and also downtown Memphis. Also nice when your legs are just tired from all the walking. Easy system to use. I was surprised to read that some of the trollies came from Australia. Wish we had kept the system in Brisbane. Now, more than 50... More

Due to suspicious fires on 2 trollies, their operation has been suspended until further notice. They were a good mode of transport in downtown Memphis, but no one has stated the causes. Old, yes maybe, lack of maintenance, yea maybe but no one in MATA has said. But the fleet is down 2 trollies and service would be irregular so... More

Sad to day there is no more trolley despite what hotel workers say. It caught on fire so a cab is the way to go. We waited forever for the bus that replaced the trolley but it never came. There is lots to see so bring your walking shoes.

For 1.25 you can see the city or buy a day pass. Hop on and off as often as you like. We caught the trolley in front of the visitor center and mud park Riverfront. We toured the Lorraine hotel, shops down Main street which there plenty to eat and shop. Goes by St Jude hospital. Beale Street ....which is... More

Ride a an old trolley bus round downtown Memphis. $1 each trip or less than $4 to ride all day. Main street is a lovely street. Ride the loop and see downtown to the Mississippi and back.
