Description: As artist Billy Swan sang, "Memphis Rocks!" Located in the cotton-trading...
As artist Billy Swan sang, "Memphis Rocks!" Located in the cotton-trading capital of the Delta, Memphis virtually invented blues, soul and rock 'n' roll. Once well-known for heavy gambling, voodoo, murder and prostitution, Memphis is just a hard-rocking place where you can get great food and hear hot tunes. Home to both Sun Records and Stax Records, this city has always been foremost in finding talent, and the rollicking live music scene is still kicking hard today. Maybe that's why Memphis is mentioned in more songs than just about any other city. So if you're out "Walking In Memphis" on the "Memphis Streets" and you get yourself a mean case of the "Walkin' Blues," just do the electric slide or "Memphis Boogie" right on into the Hard Rock Cafe Memphis and let us ease you into "Memphis Bliss." Our historic building, set on boogie street Beale, has done time as a recording studio and a saloon - the perfect combination for an electrifying menu that'll make you stomp and shout. Memphis was also Elvis's home, and the only place he ever felt he belonged. So come on down, y'all, for a taste of Southern hospitality and "Good Rockin' Tonight," 'cause you're bound to soon feel the exact same way. And while Elvis may have left the building (on a "Memphis Train?"), you can stay as long as you want. It's a "Memphis Thing."

The cafe embraces the local themes with an everything Memphis mural on the outside brick wall, mural of famous area musicians over the bar and Elvis memorabilia over the stage which hosts live entertainment. They also have local beer on tap which is something we always look for.

They have moved from the bottom of beale street to the top it's smaller and doesn't have as much memorabilia as the other one had, there are some nice pictures on the ceiling.

Live music at 7 on a Wednesday! Awesome! Free valet with 25 purchase. Food is pricey. But the teenagers loved it. Located right on beal street.

Hi Our meal was alright but not wonderful at Hard Rock Cafe but the insult was being asked for proof of age when we are in our 60s before they would serve us an alcoholic drink. I could understand perhaps if we were in our 30s and looked like we were under 21 but when my husband is bald and... More

First night in Memphis. Don't know where to go locally. AAAAJ a HE Cafe. That will do. Everyone knows what to expect even before you get it. Ribs and pulled pork was as we anticipated. But it was what we needed at the time. It was a three star experience. The fourth star was for Lynette who was a true... More

I've been to several and there was nothing out of the ordinary about this one. Food was okay. Service was mediocre. Appetizer came after the entree. Limited memorabilia. The valet attendants were helpful.

My husband & I visited the Hard Rock Cafe after completing the Backbeat Mojo Tour in Memphis. We have visited quite a few Hard Rock Cafes & I really liked the size of this one - not too big and the decor looks very fresh. Unsurprisingly, as in Memphis, Elvis memorabilia is the main display. The staff were all friendly... More

We stopped at Hard Rock to have dinner after walking around Beale street. We had two young children with us in a double stroller and worried about them being able to accommodate us because we took up a lot of room, but it wasn't a problem. We used the elevator to go upstairs and had an entire corner to ourselves.... More

We went to this Hard Rock Cafe so my Dad could get a shot glass, like he always does. They were very nice, even though it took a while for us to be served.

We turned up early evening ... just after kicking out time at Lion King, while a NHL match was on. The Hard Rock was empty. Jerred Daniel Price was playing live on the piano; playing mainly Elton John covers and some original pieces. He was very good. It is nice to see Hard Rock with actual live music; we have... More
