Another reviewer mentioned this already, but I feel it should be mentioned again. This is a real church. Please dress appropriately. The regular attendees will be dressed in their Sunday best and you should be too. For Europeans in particular, it is not polite, nor expected, to take pictures during an actual service. Yes, I have taken many pictures in...

Really enjoyed the church service. Rev Al knows who is a visitor and who is a regular. His choir and band are wonderful. Saw 4 baptisms and sang a lot of gospel music. Check his tour calendar to see if he is in town, and expect a full two hours of enlightenment on a Sunday morning!

Attended a Sunday morning service led by Al Green. Great energy in the church. I haven't been to a church in over 10 years but glad I attended this one.

Al Green was there the day we went and it was so incredible. Definitely should go if you are in the area on a Sunday. Choir was amazing and Al sounds as good as ever.

I spent almost 3 hours in the Church one Sunday morning and only left because I had other places to go and people to meet. The Rev Al Green greets you with a very warm welcome and you really do feel the love of everyone who attends.

Spent over 2.5 hours in a very welcoming service on New Years Day. The service was cut short because of no choir that day and a busy day before, but it was still over 2.5 hours. You will leave here feeling "Loved" and tapping your feet. We would definitely return if we were in the area

you will be in for an experience you will never forget. I've been here a few times. Every time I've been lucky that he's shown up. Just like the Marc Cohen song, Reverend Al Green welcomed us to his church. Sunday service was the major highlight of our recent trip to Memphis. AMAZING! Not easy to get to but well worth the cab ride. We aren’t religious but this place was very uplifting and so fun. We even got to shake Al’s hand. That man has...
