Boarded the Queen in Red Wing as flooding had silted channels to Minneapolis. This is a great cruising adventure in the heartland o America. Stateroom accommodations are on a par with quality Ocean cruise lines while maintaining period styling of the great steamboat era.food has a similar quality. Highlight of the cruises are the themes offered. We enjoyed "Music of... More

We went from New Orleans to New Orleans. It is a very elegant boat. Good food, entertainment nightly, fun people. He enjoyed the trip. I did not. I'm glad we were able to get off daily and walk around. I felt claustrophobic, but we had an inside room!

We had a great time on the American queen. The food was good and the waiters and everybody was nice. The entertainment was great. Phil the piano plate was really good. The rooms were small but comfy. The person that cleaned are rooms was really nice and gave us chocolates. In all we had a great time on the American... More

AMERICAN QUEEN STEAMSHIP We took this cruise the first week of August 2014. Had a great trip with a few exceptions. The first night was an included hotel stay in St. Louis, however the hotel was NOT the host hotel so we were away from everything downtown. About 8 blocks from the Arch. We were booked at the Double Tree... More

If you take a riverboat vacation, it will be one of the most relaxing things you've done in years. You feel no movement as you float down the river. The food is prepared by a gourmet chef. The acts in the showroom are as good as in Branson. The hop on hop off buses are free and follow the boat... More

We have just returned from the most relaxing and naturally beautiful trip we have ever taken. My husband is a history buff, so the Lewis and Clark connection was the big draw for him. I am an amateur photographer. The steamboat trip was a "bucket list" item for both of us. Starting this trip at the historic Davenport Hotel in... More

This small river boat started service in April after being in dry dock for five years. Notice I said small. Forget the size of cruise ships because this boat holds about 220 passengers. If you have been on the American Queen this boat is about one-third the size. With that said this boat does not lack in the food or... More

It took some time to find a convienent way to get to the departure point and from the arrival location, flying was not an option, because we live in Washington.. Hotel was excellant but the bus loading, to the boat, was a problem. On board service was excellant. Hop on hop buses worked well.

My wife and I cruised on the AQ last fall, Memphis to New Orleans over 9 days. It was one of my favorite vacations of all time! Every communication I had, prior to boarding was a joy, the check-in process smooth and easy, and the boat is simply amazing. Our outside cabin was small, but very comfortable. The food and... More
