We went on the BackBeat Tour for our Bank Travel Conference this week. Our Travel Guide was Memphis Jones. He was sooo good! I highly recommend this tour. More

I read and researched Backbeat Tours online and I can say I am so glad that I took the time to do so. Our tour was so fun and interesting it really was the high point of our weekend in Memphis. Our tour guide, Memphis Joe, was a wealth of knowledge about the history of the music in the area.... More

Whilst I love the musical history of Memphis, my family were not that interested - until they did the mojo tour !!! From the outset they were involved in making the music that they heard from the talented guide (who was an actual musician) and listening to the history of the town. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone... More

My wife booked this tour as part of our stay in Memphis and I wasn't very excited about it. Going on a tour with our two sons, 4 and 6, did not sound like a lot of fun. Much to my surprise the boys loved it and our tour guide, Gary, kept them entertained. The tour was informative and the... More

Two hour tour with Memphis Jones as tour guide. Singing and laughing and seeing the sights. I would do this before I planned out my Memphis plans. You will get to see a lot of things and after, you will have ideas on some things to do on your own. Price was fair. Tour was just long enough. Good way... More

I can't recommend this tour highly enough. Memphis Jones is a star performer and very skilled at getting the whole bus singing and shaking! He also has an in-depth knowledge about the sites along the way, and his passion for the performers and their history comes across. If you are doing the shorter tour like me, it gives you a... More

We went on the rock tour with Memphis Jones as a guide. The tour is in a bus, and as we went around some of the landmarks the guide told us lots of interesting information regarding Memphis' musical history, and sung many songs in between. He obviously knows the facts and if he wasn't having fun too, he is a... More

I did two of their tours with my friend, and in both times I had lots of fun. The first one was a Ghost Tour with Morgan, and I just loved spending the night hearing ghost stories along with the story of Memphis itself. The second one was a Big Mojo Tour with Memphis Jones. We listen to great songs,... More

This is a 2hr tour that is not like others. Not only will you learn a lot about the history of music in Memphis, but you'll also get live entertainement as the tour guide brings his guitar, sings during the tour, and encourages audience participation. It's a fun way to learn a lot. Even if you're not a major music... More

Gary was our tour guide for a music history tour of Memphis. He regaled our coach with stories and songs. Even our 15 year old enjoyed it! If you can book a tour with Gary whilst in Memphis - do it! More
