I visited Mud Island with my children, 6 and 3 1/2. Parking was $5 and the tram ride was $4. However, you can also walk for free above the tram, which I didn't know. The walk is probably less than 10 minutes and more fun than a tram ride because you can see you out through the bridge, not that... more

In a city with tours of Graceland, Sun Studios, the Stax Museum, and the National Civil Rights Museum, I had rather low expections of Mud Island and the Mississippi River Museum in particular. Too humid. Oh, well, we... more

The 5-block long scale model of the lowe Mississippi was great! They sold little boats in the gift shop which the kids launched at the beginning and watched as they wound their way all the way down to "Louisiana." Highly recommended. more

We didn't rate it at all, the admission fee was cheap but that was the only good thing about the park. The "diner" was terrible there all that was on offer was a barely edible sub, and very weak coffee. The Missippi river was walk was OK but nothing to write home about. The museum was about the best attraction... more
