It was very educational and was a great place to get pamphlets on vacation and attractions and what to do in Memphis and the whole state. Very pretty place for photography and concerts. More

We did not do the inside museum, but we did do the river walk. This was so interesting. It does not cost anything to see this part but if you want to get over to the island you have to walk quite a ways or take the tram. Not sure how much it was but I think it was $5.00,... More

It's a lovely place to visit. The area is peaceful, and, when my wife and I were there, relatively uncrowded. More

We learned a lot about the city here. Please take your children here when visiting Memphis. They will love splashing into the 'Old Muddy' replica. A great place that is not advertised very well, do not miss it. More

This museum placed on Mud Island just at Memphis Riverfront. Museum is unusually organized as a model of steamboat and covers different parts of Mississippi area historical and cultural issues. It simply nice to take a trip on monorail car between riverfront and island. It's fun to walk along artificial Mississippi River down to "Mexican Gulf". More

Very disappointing that this is not open year round. Memphis was not at all too cold to close this facility for the winter. It was very frustrating for this to be closed, for many of the animals in the zoo to be unavailable, and for no boats to be running for tours in February. Memphis needs to develop a plan... More

This is a small museum but it isn't really what I'd call simple either. They have a river boat with back ground noise and some interesting things here and there but it is small. There is nothing else out there but the river walk. For someone who lives here and you are looking for something that will get you out... More

The concept of the model Mississipi River is very interesting and worth following, and the museum is deceptively large and wide ranging More

When we have visitors unfamiliar with Memphis and the history of the area, this is the first place we go! It's all about the river and is fun and informative and just gives you a good glimpse into what makes Memphis a unique city. Lots of outdoor exploring time for the kids in the river park as you trace the... More
