The scale model of the Mississippi is so worth viewing. I would get there early if you go there in summer. It was very pleasant this morning with very few other tourists. Lots of parking but it closes on the 31st October for winter.

the exhibits of the history of the Mississippi River and Memphis area were very intersting. It really felt like you were stepping back in a paddle steamer in the 1880's. Easy to get around and enough area to have a nice walk. Kids will like the miniature Mississippi River to walk barefoot in. Worth the money, recommend the monorail. Some... More

The model of the Mississippi is interesting and worth the visit and the museum provides a nice review of the history of the area. The whole place needs a little attention. Glass on the monorails needs cleaning and there are a lot of pieces of broken concrete and chipped bricks. One staff member seemed uninterested in his job though the... More

The model of the Mississippi is an amazing thing. Not amazing that it could be built, that's pretty straightforward, but amazing that it ever got funding. It is though quite an experience. A shame then the the infrastructure around it has been allowed to deteriorate so badly. The restaurant is closed and has the look that it will stay that... More

The scale model of the Mississippi is brilliant and beautifully put together, with real Mississippi water! Half a mile long, with all the tributaries in exact detail and lots of information points. The staff were bright and friendly. We didn't visit the Museum, which was a mistake. Refreshment facilities are very limited.

I thought this was just a park. It is a really nice park. But there is exhibits and a museum also. I didn't know about the museum or we would have planned to stay longer. Take water shoes on a hot day.

Grounds looks like it needs some TLC. Steamboat display and civil war information was interesting. Mississippi replica on grounds was kind of cool.

Went here after reading about it in one of the tourist leaflets.Wish we hadn't bothered. What a waste of time. The only thing worth going for was the actual park.Nothing else was open, and all the "speciality" shops were shut down.

I first visited the River Walk several years ago with a tour group who didn't stay long to suit me. I was impressed and I've been telling my wife we simply must spend a day there. Last week we finally did but I was disappointed to see how far management has allowed the outdoor areas to deteriorate since my last... More
