The little island and the short ride over, you would think it isn't worth the time but it is. The museum is amazing they have really done a good job for the area. The person that put this all together is amazing. To see all of the Mississippi and the museum is amazing, well worth the $10.

We took my parents and we all loved the experience! We even learned some information about our own area(Western NY). The monorail ride was nice but we did not go through the museum. It was a very cool thing to be able to walk the "entire river"

It's worth taking a walk over to Mud Island River Park to see and walk in the water of the 5-block long Mississippi River model. Very cool! We paid to ride the monorail over but it would have been easier to make the 10-minute walk as the monorail sat on the platform for more than 10 minutes before leaving. We... More

We went with the teens and they enjoyed it also The monorail ride over to mud island is cool but so is the walking bridge. It is ashame more people don't take advantage of this nice area. It's free if you walk over and cost nothing to see the Mississippi River walk. The paddle boats were 5 dollars a person... More

We stopped in with three small kids and they had a blast. I enjoyed reading the plaques and the kids loved playing in the water. They have a replica of the river that can be waded in. The museum was very interesting and we would go back.

Brought my mom and my 3 kids 2, 7, 11 for a few hours. Very neat attraction. Was quite impressed w the detail of the river and information presented. My 7 year old enjoyed the river the most. A little too uneven for my 2 year old. We also paid to ride the monorail which was worth it since it... More

This is cool and amazingly done but it is hot and this is in the sun. We took the monorail across and did not do the museum. Only 2 of the 6 of us made it from the top to the bottom, lack of interest half way through and heat. At then end and in a couple waterfall areas it's... More

This park has a museum, a monorail, and much more! It has a scale model of the Mississippi that stretches a mile or so, with information signs at certain points of the 'river.' I should mention that you can also walk through the scale river if you so choose. The star of the park is of course the Mississippi River,... More

Take three or four hours and visit this great museum. You ride the monorail from Front Street over to Mud Island and then enter the museum. Exhibits start with the earliest inhabitants 10,000 years ago up to the current day. Inside you can explore what is was like to sail on a riverboat and a Union gunship. Later on, you... More

In celebration of my son's high school graduation we took a family road trip to Memphis where we had the opportunity to visit Mud Island. We enjoyed the brief monorail ride across to the Mississippi Museum (though the attendant was very "dry" and curt) The River Walk was a lot of fun. At first I thought it was more for... More
