Although the public areas of the hotel are beautiful and well maintained, the rooms are anything but. The bathrooms are tiny and in need of a renovation. The chairs and sofa in the room looked like they had been purchased at a garage sale and the overall cleanliness of the room was very poor. The service at the hotel was... more

Thank you for the feedback regarding your stay at The Peabody. We take great pride in providing excellent service; therefore, we are quite disappointed to read about your experience. We take these reviews very seriously, so it will definitely be shared with our staff. The hotel actually finished a complete renovation in 2006. Because we are a historic hotel, all...

Stayed here a couple of weeks ago on business trip. Arrived 10pm, tired, in a driving rainstorm. No doorman held door for me or helped with bags (this was to be a preview of things to come). Checked in, went up to room. Room smelled awful, like an ashtray. After a few minutes I decided I couldn't spend the night... more

Stayed here for a night while visiting Memphis. The hotel is obviously top class. You won't lack for any standard comfort or appointment. The lobby is beautiful and the rooms are luxurious. The ducks are nice, but a bit irrelevant to the experience as a hotel. Our room was quite small however, particularly for the price. Also, be warned that... more

An invitation to a wedding brought us on our first visit to Memphis . The wedding party was headquartered at the Peabody and we were happy to join them. The historic hotel has been scrupulously maintained and delivers a level of elegance not found in most modern hotels. Administration ( reservations, check in , check out) was handled flawlessly with... more

I stayed here in November 2008 and was very impressed with this beautiful old hotel. Stunning lobby the likes of which you virtually never see anymore. Clean, carefully tended rooms with the cute "duck" theme reflected in everything from the towels to the duck-shaped soaps in the bathroom etc.Diligent responsive staff at valet stand and concierge desk who answered every... more

Had a delightful stay in May while attending a friend's son's graduation from Rhodes College. Small rooms but very tastefully done. We were able to add a rollaway even though there were 2 doubles. A good thing ,as my daughter was sick so she got to have her own bed. A lttile cramped fro 3 people but we didn't mind.... more

We did the Touch of Romance Package for our 10th Wedding Anniversary. We checked in fine, had a great dinner at Chez Phillipe and then retired to our room. We were woken up at 11pm or so to a crying baby in the room next door. We called the front desk telling them what was going on and letting them... more

We visited the Peabody Hotel in Memphis in September 2008. We stayed in the club suite and were disappointed as the food and drink were limited and not up to the standard we have come to expect from a top Hotel club room. The ducks are an attraction but they also attract many people off the streets that are not... more

If you're in downtown Memphis, you should definitely stop by the Peabody Hotel and see the ducks. You should try to see the ducks when they march to their fountain or when they return to their house (which is a very nice cage on the roof). The ducks are very cute and they'll put a smile on your face. If... more

Only spent one night here, at the start of a tour of Civil War battlefields. A handsome and comfortable hotel, with all the room appointments one could expect. I was quite intrigued with what Memphis has to offer, from Beale Street to the riverfront, the Civil Rights and Cotton Museums, and colorful restaurants. I will definitely return, and will happily... more
