We did not stay here but we went every evening from 5:00-8:30 to listen to Ms. Laura play show tunes in the lobby. She could play everything from memory. We enjoyed talking to her during her break. This was a fun, early evening event.

I attended a national meeting/conference here and I thought the hotel did a terrific job on the food, service and accommodations. It is a historic property, which they celebrate and build upon. There is a nightly duck march-real ducks based on a hotel tradition. The rooms and decor around the hotel are stately and lovely. The Peabody is walking distance... More

Grand dame of Memphis. After all these years, I still love happy hour in the lobby, the fresh flowers, the architecture, the people watching, stopping into Lanky's for a little shopping, and then walking to a nearby restaurant.

It is a beautiful hotel built in 1925 and it has great architecture. The famous ducks walk to the lobby at 11AM and walk out of the lobby at 5PM. The Peabody is bigger than the ducks, but if you have a chance, do go there around the time the ducks do their show as it is cute. Be in... More

I just went there to see the ducks walking across the red carpet. Even if it doesn't sound that exciting it's really worth seeing it. It's just lovely. Even the lobby where the fountain is looks beautiful

A real old world hotel with the appropriate service & tradition. The ducks in the foyer fountain were a highlight. Disappointed to be told our room wasn't ready and offered a $90 per day upgrade, then to be told our room was ready when I declined. Also, without telling you, they also add on a U$12 per night "Hotel Service... More

The Peabody is a fabulous historic hotel in the heart of Memphis. There is a stunning lobby with a great bar. Get there early, 4ish. Have a drink. See the ducks in the fountain and be sure to stay for the duck master's presentation and the march of the ducks. You can also visit the the duck penthouse on the... More

Stayed last night and don't regret it, but a private party on mezzanine floor ruined lobby atmosphere. We had planned to stay at hotel but we opted to leave because the party above lobby ruined atmosphere. No matter--Beal Street is a 5 or so minute walk away. The hotel was decorated for Christmas and there was also a charming "Candy... More
