We stopped at the Peabody and the well publicized duck march. What's the fuss? Beautiful historic hotel. Nice place to have a drink.

we went to the hotel to watch the ducks come down to the fountain and we had a cup of tea which was awful. the shops in the foyer are lovely ,the most famous shop there is lanksy brothers where elvis bought most of his clothes. It does get very busy around 11am and 5pm because of the ducks so you...

I really enjoyed watching the duck parade and having tea in this lovely hotel. It was also great to look in Lanskys.
But I was appalled to see, on sale in one of their shops, the most amazingly tacky souvenir I have ever seen in the form of a black jumpsuited figure with a duck's head and blue (suede?) shoes....

The Peabody Hotel and their beloved ducks are world famous. Although we did not stay at The Peabody, we very much enjoyed visiting the property during the morning and evening "duck marches". The duckmaster is very knowledgeable and is quite the showman! The hotel lobby and common areas are as beautiful as they are historic. I enjoyed the mini-museum that...

A unique and entertaining experience to see the ducks walk the red carpet from elevator to fountain in the lobby. It was crowded.

Get there early in order to get a good location to see the ducks. Doug, the Duck Meister, was able to give history and background in an informative and entertaining manner. This event in the hotel lobby at 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM is worth seeing. Parking nearby is reasonable in the public garage.

It also houses an Italian Steak house which was excellent and the sandwich...

Get there early to get a spot for the kids along the red carpet. Then you can sit and enjoy a drink at the lobby bar. Lobby is beautiful to look at the wood work is splendid.
My husband is from Memphis but no longer lives there. We thought it would be nice to stay here since we never have. The room was really really small and bathroom was even smaller. If you are a woman and need space in the bathroom to get ready you don't even have a counter to put your makeup on. The...
