Despite the flies I still ate the food. It was very good, especially the gumbo. I also recommend the pecan pie. The service is average, at best.

2nd time eating here and it is just delicious....ribs and cheese fries are amazing. You can make a meal just out of the fries themselves. A but on the pricy side for 3 of us to eat , but what else do you expect down on beale street. The new potatoes I had with my garlic broiled stump was good... More

Blues City has great food. My parents and I discovered this gem of a restaurant while visiting Beale St in Memphis. The gumbo was excellent and the ribs were the best we ever had. We also tried the catfish which was awesome. The place was hoppin on a Sunday evening. We had prompt and courteous service. You must give Blues... More

We decided to eat here while stopping on Beale street to look around. After looking around at what others were eating we decided on the ribs. The BBQ sauce was good and the ribs were so so. The beans were "the best I've had at a restaurant " says my mom. I thought the fries were over cooked. As a... More

Great service, super fast & delicious food. We had the ribs with cat fish, fries, beans and coleslaw. So worth the price. Very tasty and service with with a smile ☺ Thanks so much from Canada xoxo Will most definitely be back when in this area. I highly recommend it to everyone. 🍛

So going in one entrance it looked like a school cafeteria, going in the other way it was all high top tables.... but I had seen something on the menu outside that still made me want to eat there, tossed in dressing salads. Once seated in the middle section our waiter was attentive and made some excellent suggestions, all I... More

What can I say - I keep returning for the music. It's always good here and the drinks and food prices are very reasonable.

I was a bit surprised to be served beer in plastic glass but beer was good. The 20oz ribeye was awesome. Place a little scruffy, but that's whT Blues joints are about.

Picked the Blues City Cafe based on other TripAdvisor reviews and they were right on the money! The portions were huge so we ended up sharing a couple of the dinners. The rib meat literally fell off the bone. I have never seen such clean bones at the end of a meal. The big hit was the cheese fries appetizer... More
