Saw Hillbilly Casino, a rockabilly group out of Nashville and really enjoyed them. No cover on a Saturday night and cold beer. Doesn't get much better!

Okay. I'll admit it. If I wasn't with a group, I never would have noticed this Memphis institution. And what a loss that would have been. Yes, the interior is rough and tumble, but the food is plentiful and oh so satisfying, and it keeps coming. What really makes this place a downtown destination is the entertainment. Elvis would approve.... More

This was our first stop on Beale street while visiting Memphis, it's right on the first corner so hard to miss it;-) We heard of this place and knew it was pretty famous and I'd seen it in the Travel channel and was both curious and hungry to learn more! Ok so the interior is American Style rough and ready... More

Was looking for some Memphis BBQ while in town. Found this place rated highly on my iPhone and also recommended second from a woman at the Westin hotel. It isn't the authentic dry rub barbecue you should expect in Tennessee...but still quite good. The ribs were delectable and falling off the bone. I didn't LOVE the sauce, but it was... More

Memphis 3 were playing at the bar/grill the night we ate at Blues City Band Box—a music venue adjoining the Blues City Café-- and we were there for two things….ribs and music! We were not disappointed on either count. We shared a full slab of ribs that were moist, meaty, tender, and saucy. We opted out of fries, but enjoyed... More

When I saw the line I thought this must be a great place. In reality the service was slow and the food was average or a bit below. There are a lot a great places for barbecue, this just isn't one of them. Look around a bit if you are in Memphis and you will find better. The area is... More

1st night ribs w excellent typical sides. We sat right next to prep and couldn't stop salivating over the steaks. So after a boozed up night at b.B. kings we stopped in for butter steaks. Not the finest cut, tasty. Ate leftovers for breakfast . Great atmosphere on Beale street

This is what the name says - a café. It is not upmarket and not posh. It was a little bit frantic and maybe untidy there but servers seemed to know what they were doing. I cannot say that it was dirty as some other reviewers have claimed - and I am quite fussy to be honest and we did... More
