we visited whilst the musem was being remodelled, we were only able to see a small amount of the exhibits. We talked to the firefighters and they were very friendly, sad we could not see the whole museum

I never miss an opportunity to visit a fire museum so when we visited Memphis on vacation, it was on our list of things to do. We rented a car at the airport to get around. There is a parking garage two blocks from the museum. Unfortunately, the museum was undergoing renovation so we could not see the main museum.... More

Can't say enough about how great the firefighters were when my grandson and I visited the museum. He's 5 years old and enjoyed it as much as I did. They gave us the grand tour, seeing all the old trucks was my favorite, seeing how fireman fought fires with horses as trucks was unbelievable. These are great people who spend... More

For those of us who run into danger when all others are running from danger: Pretty cool museum of Memphis Fire Fighting. About 4 blocks from Beale Street, right up Main Street. Some classic fire fighting equipment, such as hand pumper, and a very large collection of toy fire apparatus, many of them cast iron and rare. Some interactive attractions,... More

We arrived at themuseum and we were told that pats of it are under construction and only the main building was free to access. No costs therefor, only donations if wanted. Even though it was only that one room itwas reeally nice to see those very old fire trucks and other things like old helmets, telephones and so on. One... More

The hosts were so welcoming and accommodating. Part of the museum is closed for renovations and upgrades, which I'm sure will be amazing. But they waived the usual fee for a donation only. The information was great! Definitely a great place for kids, but we don't have any and we still have fun. Make sure to check out the ol... More

This museum may be small in comparison to other museum's, however, this is quite educational. A variety of fire related pieces. The staff could/would benefit from customer relation classes. If you enjoy the fire service and/or appreciate our firefighters, you will enjoy this museum. :)

The museum was under construction, but we still spent a solid hour there. This is a great place to take your kids. Ours were 6, 3, and 1 and everyone had fun. The exhibits are really interactive and teach your children about fire safety. Our kids were singing the super hero song in the car on the way out of... More

Went here with small child. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Educational regarding fire safety. Lots of fire vehicles and equipment to explore. Also found the history interesting. Thank you to Bo for taking the time with us.
