The hosts were so welcoming and accommodating. Part of the museum is closed for renovations and upgrades, which I'm sure will be amazing. But they waived the usual fee for a donation only. The information was great! Definitely a great place for kids, but we don't have any and we still have fun. Make sure to check out the ol... More

This museum may be small in comparison to other museum's, however, this is quite educational. A variety of fire related pieces. The staff could/would benefit from customer relation classes. If you enjoy the fire service and/or appreciate our firefighters, you will enjoy this museum. :)

The museum was under construction, but we still spent a solid hour there. This is a great place to take your kids. Ours were 6, 3, and 1 and everyone had fun. The exhibits are really interactive and teach your children about fire safety. Our kids were singing the super hero song in the car on the way out of... More

Went here with small child. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Educational regarding fire safety. Lots of fire vehicles and equipment to explore. Also found the history interesting. Thank you to Bo for taking the time with us.

Not a long visit required but very informative. There are lots of things to read and do. Not far from mississippi mud park, so you can get a visit in there too or catch the tram service

My daughter LOVES fire trucks. She had such a blast being able to see the fire trucks, climb on them and learn about fire safety displays and info they had. Just wish they had more girl stuff in their store. I ended up buying her a boy's tshirt because the only girl stuff they had were smocked dresses/outfits (my daughter... More

Learn the history and see some good exhibits of fire fighting. Great for children and adults. The museum is self guided so we were not rushed. Lots of equipment to view.. Worth the trip.

My little boy loves this place. He especially likes the area where he can play on the engines and ambulance. He still talks about it all of the time.

The Fire Museum of Memphis is a small museum tucked near the Courthouse in Downtown Memphis that makes a nice stop if your visiting with young children. It's not a very large museum but, depending on your children's interests, you should be able to spend between an hour to an hour and a half looking through the museum and it's... More
