Mainly a self guided tour but staff gave us loads of information too. Was really interesting and I loved seeing the old fire trucks and finding out how things had changed over the years. The video showing how fast a fire can take hold was scary but well done. Well worth a visit.

We took our 2 and 4 year old children right when they opened at 9am on a Wednesday morning. We were the only people there the entire time, but the staff was very attentive and friendly and helped us find our way and do all of the activities. The kids play area is AMAZING! There is a fire engine that... More

Nice little museum just off the main strip in Memphis - well worth the entrance fee. Some great exhibits.

This MADE our four year old boy's fire fighter dreams come true! They have all kinds of hands on activities that are perfect for the 3-6 year set.

Once we found parking & paid for a 'family pack' for $30 (one adult, one teen & 2 younger kids) we started our walk-thru. One of the workers was either extra helpful or bored because we were the only people visiting at that time, but either way he offered to give us a tour! I'm not sure if he expected... More

We visited in September as part of our Deep South driving tour (sorry for the delay!!). At first we were disappointed to find that the museum was in the middle of a refurb and officially wasn't open as not all exhibits were accessible. We were a little disappointed as my father is a retired UK fireman and I thought he... More

The place has several life size play in fire trucks and activities for younger kids to run, jump and have fun in. Its got great education, focused more to young kids. For us adults we were a little bored, but the kids were having a blast!

What a totally bizarre experience! You have to see this once in your lifetime just to see how totally whakey and nuts our American cousins really are! We have trooping the colour and changing the guard they have...the Peabody ducks!!! So you have one of the most expensive and lavish hotels in Memphis parading 5 very ordinary Malard ducks up... we visited whilst the musem was being remodelled, we were only able to see a small amount of the exhibits. We talked to the firefighters and they were very friendly, sad we could not see the whole museum
