Best bartender on Beale is Cindy at Rum Boogie's Bar....Yes the music is fab, the food is great but its the service that was memorable. Cindy is personable, a great pourer and knows how to whip up a cocktail or just chat n get that Beale St vibe going with the crowd at her bar! Go and say hi, you... More

We spent part of an evening here, having spent the first part at BB king's, and really enjoyed it. I am not sure about the place being dirty as others have said because we didn't eat here and it was dark inside, but the music was fantastic and there is a really great atmosphere with people interacting with the band... Enjoyed listening to Patrick Dodd band, and the pulled pork sandwich here is the bomb! The guitars are super cool...just an overall fun place to be. Loved it!

We stumbled into the Rum Boogie Cafe, on our way back from BB King's to the Peabody hotel. What hit us was the quality of the music, the band were excellent, like the Commitments only better, I can't remember the guys name but he was good. Beer and atmosphere were just what you want from a blues bar on Beale... More

If you're a true audiophile, and can truly appreciate that kids today can listen to Marilyn Manson only because Elvis shook his hips on Ed Sullivan and BB King had a guitar named Lucille, you'll love the Rum Boogie. They have one of the largest private guitar collections in the world; everyone from Elvis to Nick Simmons (Gene Simmons' kid).... More

Ate at Rum Boogie yesterday. All food (and iced tea) was excellent and more than we could eat: pulled pork, ribs, fries, beans, gumbo. The apple cobbler dessert was outstanding. Good blues atmosphere. Strongly recommend if you like southern BBQ style food.

We spent our last night in Memphis at the Rum Boogie and it was well worth it. We heard the Ghost Town Blues Band, who are a great five-piece blues band. They played a lot of their own stuff as well as highly original covers, including one of "Come Together" on a cigar-box guitar. The food was tasty - we... More

I've had some wonderful times in this, one of Memphis' iconic music clubs. The big stage under the great "STAX" neon sign always showcases amazing talent. If you're lucky you'll get there on a night when they have a large band with a rhythm section of smokin' horns! That's when it's really fun and you get an appreciation for the... More

We were in Memphis on Beale Street and we were looking for a bar with good entertainment and stumbled upon Rum Boogie. Their house band was playing lots of classics and oldies and in the back room they had a band doing delta blues. They charged a $5 cover but we had a good time while we were there.

We had a great night the music was amazing. The service was good and one of the few places we could dance. If you want a good night this is it.
