Beautiful and fun

I love the Summer Movie Series, and it's cheap! I also love the shows; they're very expensive, so I can't go often, but it's totally worth it when I can go.

When I was very young my grandmother took me here to see "The Ten Commandment" with Charlton Heston. The year was 1956 and The Orpheum was called the Malco Theatre then. It was so decadent even though I didn't know that word, but in my young mind it was very "grand" and opulent. Years went by and its glamor faded... More

Being that the Orpheum is the only place to see Broadway productions it is hard to compare. I have gone to about all and am spoiled in that I love to sit close. It is truly a beautiful and exciting place. The Lion King was my all time favorite. The theatre is in downtown Memphis near the South End and... More

It was just so beautiful to see how beautiful and the history of the building and the art of it all. Seeing Cat's there was outstanding. The actors and orchestra were phenomenal, not to mention the whole production performance. Also so Le'Mesirabe! WOW, what a show!

Gorgeous inside with red velvet seats and friendly volunteers. this theatre has been around a long time but is still in good shape. The restrooms are a little small but if there is a long line nice volunteers and ushers will tell you where others are located that may not be as crowded. Good seats on the floor or in... More

This theatre makes you feel like you are in New York! Went to see Mamma Mia for the Sunday matinee and it is beautiful inside. Very ornate and well maintained. Everything was very clean. The only con I have was the leg room in the seats. I am only 5' tall and it was cramped for me!

Amazing play and very family friendly! The Orpheum Theatre is very well taken care of and true to time of construction. It has amazing features though seating is a little crowded. Well worth the visit.

I love the elegant old look of the Orpheum. Seeing its marquee and famous upright sign makes me think of the stars that have performed at this venue. It’s a veritable Who’s Who of the entertainment industry. There’s no surprise in the fact that the Orpheum gets glowing testimonials. What surprises me is that Memphis tourism promoters don’t seem to... More
