This is the venue for traveling Broadway shows among others. It's a beautiful theatre, gilded with gold and has that classic feel. Eating dinner or lunch beforehand is easy because there are so many great restaurants in the area; you can park once and walk to either very easily.

I went with a friend to see The Lion King. I thoroughly enjoyed the play and the theater was awesome. I would say if you are visiting Memphis, then watching a play here or one of the old movies they play during the summer is a must!.

My sister and I had bought tickets to see the Elvis Tribute Artists at the Arpheum theater and it is a beautiful building. I couldn't stop looking at the beauty of everything. The seats are comfortable and the lighting very good. The staff could be a little more friendly though. Over all a good experience.

GREAT BROADWAY TOUR ACCESSIBILITY IN A REMOTE PLACE At the Orpheum, I've taken children to see The Lion King on tour, Fiddler on the Roof on tour (with Topol), White Christmas on stage, and more. I'm glad its available in an area which doesn't have ready access to such things. One would need to hop over to Atlanta or Dallas... More

The Orpheum built in c1923 is a Memphsi relic well worth visiting. The entire place was renovated in 1996 for millions $$$ and the sound system was updated just a few years ago. The seats up in the Grand Tier were perfect, we had front row middle and if I'm not mistaken I think the tickets were all about the... More

Oh it is beautiful. If you are a person who appreciates old buildings and architecture, your jaw will drop when you enter the Orpheum. We were so glad we got there early so we could just sit and inhale its beauty. It's very much like the Majestic in San Antonio and the Fox in St. Louis. That being said, we... More

This theater was lovely once, and it has a lot of potential to be great again but it's not quite there yet. We were there for the Wild Kratts Show and it was a lot of fun. The chairs are just a little old - but still comfortable. The sound was great, the ease of entrance was good, but there... More

Excellent venue. I've seen Jerry Seinfeld and Harry Connick as well as an off Broadway play or two. Beautiful inside, bar service, helpful staff.

Husband and I went to see Hook at the Orpheum during their summer movie series. Tickets and concessions were relatively inexpensive (compared to even regular movie theaters where we live) and it wasn't very crowded so we were able to explore a bit beforehand and have our pick of seats. We had such a great time!

I have seen both Broadway and music in this venue. It is a beautiful building with historical significance. Consequently, small seats, that aren't the most comfortable. It is still however, a great place for entertainment. Although I have not attended, they also screen older movies, which families really enjoy.
