The inside of the theatre is beautiful. The seats are quite uncomfortable. It is time for an upgrade on the seats. This theatre is expensive but nice.
I took the time and made another journey to the Orpheum Theater in Memphis, Tennessee--a journey that I have made more times than I can recall. The latest journey I made to the Orpheum Theater in Memphis, Tennesse was in my opinion a total waste of my time
Although we did not visit the Orpheum on our latest trip to Memphis, we have been there for "Movie Night". I have been to many events at the Orpheum over the past 2 years and have had seats in most every section. I can honestly say that I you can't get a bad seat in the Orpheum. The accoustics are great and the venue offered a great variety of shows from family friendly to musical to mildly risque.
I was very disappointed with the musical "Flash Dance", especially with the price ,I paid. The seats are very uncomfortable and many of them are broken. Instead of building a new center, next door, they should redo the seating in the present structure
Attended "Rebel without a Cause" for the summer movie series. Theater is definitely of a time gone by - beautiful!! Hope in the future to be able to see a live production on their stage. Also heard it is residence for two ghosts, of which we did not encounter.
