Great part of the world

Beautiful beach - fabulous dunes and of course famous for beach scenes from 'Local Hero' . Really private with easy parking and access.

A beach that makes your jaw drop which is accessed by a walk through beautiful Sand Dunes. This beach is unspoilt with tropical resemblance and peaceful even in the height of Summer only a few hours drive from our home in Glasgow. It was also the location of our marriage ceremony this July.

Amazing beach with great views to Eigg, Rum and Skye. Huge expanse of sand, rock pools to explore and huge sand dunes. Paid three visits to the beach and largely had it to ourselves each time. Already planning return

The beaches along the west coast from Arisaig to Morar are lovely and unspoilt. A brilliant place to get away from it all. Nothing but the sound of the wind to disturb your thoughts.

Camusdarach beach is a must if you are in the area - although it pains me to write this because I want to keep it a secret. Parts of the films of 'Local Hero' and 'Highlander' were filmed here. I have been coming to this beach for 25 years and never been disappointed. It looks different with different weather or... More

Don't go here, we want to keep it for ourselves its peace, quiet and beauty make it a wonderful beach, don't expect ice creams and donkeys.

Beautiful place - a must see! Very quiet too. Dogs enjoyed it, as did we - helped that the sun had eventually come out!

Stunning beach a must for a visit. A walk over to a secluded cove, white sand, turquoise water. Nicest beach visited in a long time.

Having just watched the Local Hero DVD we hurried down to the beach where it was filmed. Wind was blowing a gale, 10 degrees max,and it was just starting to rain, so hardly the Caribbean but the beach is lovely.
