Camusdarach Beach is a gently sloping beach of fine silver sand. There is seaweed on the beach left from winter storms, but it does not spoil the experience. There is no litter and the water is very clear but cold. The beach is backed by tall sand dunes but there is a helpful set of wooden steps to help us... More

It had been a couple of years since we'd last visited on a cloudy day but now we strolled the white sands of this gorgeous place under clear blue skies.Bliss. I was surprised at how many houses had sprung up since our last visit - mega houses in some cases - all over this once remote-feeling area.Only a few are... More

Visited for the Long Easter weekend-The owners could not have been more accommodating & helpful- We even woke on Easter Sunday to find an Easter Egg- courtesy of Camusdarach!. Stunning location, and really chilled ambiance about the place. Ideal for canoe/kayak/swimming on the safe silver sandy beaches just behind the site along a path. Cycling is a must too, as... More

One of the stunning beaches of Scotland. Movies have been filmed here as it's so nice. Highlander, Local Hero to name two! It's just lovely on a sunny day. Interesting sand dunes at the head of the beach. Great fun for kids to run down. I would certainly plan a day on the beach.

What a find, absolutely stunning & unspoilt. We had read about this beach while touring the area, parked accross the road as there was no space in the car park provided, kids loved the trail path down to the beach. Definately worth a visit.

I spent my family holidays here as a child and wouldn't have wanted it any other way. The beach is beautiful, as is the whole surrounding area. This is also where the early 80's film "local hero" was filmed, as I was there!
