Luss, Scotland is a pleasure to explore on the shores of Loch Lomand. Beautiful lanes, well-kept stone homes, and classic English cottage gardens.

Beautiful Luss, located on the shores of Loch Lomond, is the ancestral home of Clan Colquhoun (Calhoun). For those who have Colquhouns in their family tree, this lovely village and the Luss Visitor Centre are a must see. The Visitor Centre is a welcoming place. The friendly staff can answer your questions and give you advice on what to see... More

It was a flying visit, but what we saw looked very interesting. Clear local history and wildlife given.

We stayed in Luss for 4 days at camping and caravan site. Please ignore the review about the site as it says members only so these guys where never going to get on. Blame the council for poor signposts saying it is a campsite when you have to prebook. Luss is lovely albeit full of tourists but you cAn work round... More

September 28, 2013 - Our bus stopped at the visitors center in Luss for a bathroom break and an opportunity for us to purchase refreshments. We had enough time to walk around the village and go down to the pier. We bought refreshments and sat at an outside bench. The visitor's center is quite nice. The lovely cottages with their... More

Lovely little village on the banks of Loch Lomand. The car parking here is very cheep which made for a pleasant change. Great place to stop for a picnic, grab a snack or a hot / cold drink.

Caught a good day of weather and were recommended to visit Luss by one of the workers on the site that we were stopping at. Absolutely beautiful village. Parked up and had a picnic on the benches provided (with facilities for BBQ if you take one) before wandering on to the small beach and having a paddle in the Loch.... More

Having been going to Luss for over 10yrs now, I confess to being sad this visit. Why? Because beautiful, sleepy little Luss has gone commercial, its lost some of its charm and beauty. It was totally and utterly over run with coachloads of tourists and I mean huge coachloads (they had to wear stickers to remind them of which group... More

Luss is a colourful and pretty town on the shores of Loch Lomond. Popular with domestic and international visitors, we found that the carparks were full by 12 noon on a midweek summer's day, so would advise going before the lunch-time crowds or later in the day when many have left. Tour buses do stop here, however, groups are only... More
