Luss is a charming area overlooking the lovely Loch Lomond and we were thrilled by the idea of camping at the lake side. But the camping site in Luss is an embarrassment to Scotland! We tried calling, but had no luck reaching anyone, only a useless answering machine. So there we are in person instead, a company of 5 college... More

Lovely little village on the banks of Loch Lomand. The car parking here is very cheep which made for a pleasant change. Great place to stop for a picnic, grab a snack or a hot / cold drink.

Caught a good day of weather and were recommended to visit Luss by one of the workers on the site that we were stopping at. Absolutely beautiful village. Parked up and had a picnic on the benches provided (with facilities for BBQ if you take one) before wandering on to the small beach and having a paddle in the Loch.... More

Having been going to Luss for over 10yrs now, I confess to being sad this visit. Why? Because beautiful, sleepy little Luss has gone commercial, its lost some of its charm and beauty. It was totally and utterly over run with coachloads of tourists and I mean huge coachloads (they had to wear stickers to remind them of which group... More

Luss is a colourful and pretty town on the shores of Loch Lomond. Popular with domestic and international visitors, we found that the carparks were full by 12 noon on a midweek summer's day, so would advise going before the lunch-time crowds or later in the day when many have left. Tour buses do stop here, however, groups are only... More

Luss is a lovely village with picturesque cottages, and the most beautiful landmark in the village is the Luss Parish Church. I took a picture of this church and had it put on canvas. It turned out so pretty! I highly recommend visiting the Luss Visitor Centre, where you can have a bite to eat or drink and have an... More

We were returning from Skye and travelling south on the west coast, passing Fort William and we decided to have a rest at Loch Lomond. We were told to visit Luss along Loch Lomond. It is sign posted and easy to find. As usual, there is toilet facilities, gift shops and getting a cuppa and ice cream. I have to... More

Last week I took my some visitors from australia and england to visit luss and we went for lunch in the Visitor Centre. The soup when it was served was barely warm and very watery. When my cousin asked for something else in exchange for the soup, she was charged the difference of ten pence. I would have thought an... More
