The Cutest Little Village!

Our first stop on a day tour. It's such a sweet wee place. The little cottages are beautifully kept, and the gardens are lovely. We had a nice walk through.

The visitor center has a lot of brochures plus a big touch screen monitor which tells you all the information you need to know about the local and nearby areas and it's easy to navigate for more information about a point of interest. We found it's particularly helpful.

Not a large place and wasn't too easy to find. It is an extension to Purdie's cafe. Its got lots of info re the Loch its islands and a few of the celebrated characters of the past.

Many of the gardens were a joy to behold. There is a beach (grainy sand) and a small pier; the views across the lake are,... More

Stopped here while travelling with a group visiting the highlands. What a well kept village. Lovely walk down to the shores of Loch Lomond. Turn right at the pier and walk along the front and visit the very pretty church. Don't forget to read the information board about the church on the outside.
